One of the greatest shows ever.

    Time for a re watch.

    • how would you compare this to breakingbad series?

      • +10

Sopranos has much less suspense, but the writing is much better.

    • I'm finally watching the bluray set after I purchased it in October (bit of a backlog of movies/tv series to get through since June's lockdown in Victoria aka Lockdown 9823473984264234). As a price comparison I paid $79.20 (it was only 20% off at JB Hifi at that point in time), I considered it a decent price considering it was originally going for $150 at one point (it's currently $99). It's a great show, not my personal favourite of all time, but still worth watching.

I woke up this morning, with Sopranos on my mind.

Woke up this morning. Got a boom boom in your eye

      • Do you mean blue Moon? 😂

        • +1

No, it's on a misheard lyrics page

Woke up this morning, had some gabbagool

I'd happily watch this all in one sitting. Never did have the makings of a varsity athlete…

Poor Junior, had no idea how angry he was making Tony…Great scene.

  • Same price at JB or should I say it is pricing matching JB?

  • +1

Would this be the widescreen version?

    • Obviously.

    • 20 years too late for the cropped 4:3 dvd. The show was originally 16:9 when aired.

      • +1

Amazingly, the first episode was filmed (in widescreen) in 1997, before airing in January 1999. It was in widescreen only because it was shot on film. This was probably one of the earliest widescreen shows made.

Does this have the alternate ending?

He never did have the makings of a varsity athlete.

If you have foxtel you can stream it there. I finished watching the whole series 2 weeks ago. First time I watched it was when it was originally aired.

By season 6 I hated Tony.

    • +1

Both Tony and Janice eventually turned into their mother. I haven't re-watched the series but I would say if I did I would probably now like the "villains" like Ritchie and hate the "heroes" like Tony.

  • Technically how would this compare to binge? It has Dolby Digital Plus on binge and seems like 1080

  • Schrödinger's cat

Does anyone know if “The Many Taints of Newark” is on special as well?

    • +3

That film belongs in the $4.99 bargain bin.

  • One of the best shows ever made however I wasn't too impressed with the movie.

  • Never has one tv show caused me anxiety while watching one scene

  • +2

Blueray?! I wish the Lord would take me now.

  • Second best TV show out there (Wire #1).

  • +1

    Whaddya gonna do?
    Forget about it….

    • They pinched that "Forget about it" line from the movie The Wanderers.

  • Anyone had their order notification as shipped yet

  • Have Amazon done a drop ship on this listed item. Taking along time to get shipped. Says expected to arrive in Feb 4. Stuck at the moment prior to shipping stage in order status. Lucky I wasn't in a hurry for it.

    • I just hope no-one here spoils the ending for you before the set arrives !!

      • Ha. Watched it ages ago. Want to relive a great series again.
