Have you reported to ICAC ?

      • +1

        🤣👍🤣👍🤣

    • +34

SloMo said there will absolutely not be any free tests as this would prevent the retailers from ordering stock.
Thank him for prioritising retailer profits over public health.

      • +7

        the economy must come first

        • It's not like him to be so caring when he screws someone.

      • +4

        Gerry, is that you?

    • +18

Scotty has been great at taking credit for other people's good work, shifting blame on his own crappy outbursts, talking things up (making his own fake marketing campaigns) and giving away money by the billions. Otherwise, he is pretty much useless.

      • +8

He is the founder of Ozbargain, though :)

    • +10

Scomo be like ‘look, I don’t hold the reigns of the economy, mate.’

Deserves a backhand to the face.

      • +7

Scomo doesnt hold a hose, a syringe, and now, a swab 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

@HolyCr4p: And sporting events go ahead.. perth cup only went ahead because dictator mark had a horse running.

            • +2

@Bluey91: You really need to "do your own research" into what the word dictator means. It's not what you seem to think.

              • -2

@banana365: Ohh my bad so taking rights away, continually extending state of emergencys, forcing vaccines to be employed. Illegal lockdowns is something a free country does? Does that sound like australia? You need to wake up.

                • +2

@Bluey91: If you don't like it, leave?

I'm sure you can all go make some sovereign state somewhere where you can all wail about whatever it is that's bugging you

                  • @buckster: Haha telling me to leave over facts that you can't argue with, that we are losing rights is a pretty stupid comment. It would be as stupid as me telling you to vaccinate your infant children… wait. Bit of advice, don't tell a native to leave their own country..

                • +4

                  @Bluey91:

                  Illegal lockdowns

                    • +5

@Bluey91: Yeah, that's not how it works. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. You made the claim, you back it up.

                      Alternatively, stop spouting unfounded nonsense.

  • +8

Anyone bought from this business before? Their online reviews don't look good…

    • +6

I was about to buy until I saw your comment and went to read some reviews. I think i'll pass!

    • +2

Yes and was a nightmare. Day after day went by without an update and ended up having to threaten a chargeback over a week after ordering before they refunded me without sending item.

    • +6

It's terrible! I ordered something from there that they said was in stock ready for immediate dispatch.

A couple days passed and it still didn't ship so I tried to cancel the order.

They wanted to charge a 15% restocking fee for an item they didn't even ship! Then they stopped answering emails.

Just a horrendous experience and frankly they should be banned from the site.

    • +6

Urghh. Imagine taking a $169 gamble on these muppets.

      • +10

Yeah I had to neg so that it will give people a chance to read the reviews and then make up their own minds if they would like to risk the purchase.

        • +12

          One from 2 months back..

          Disappointing: Do not recommend

In 11 years of running businesses, this is only the second negative review I have felt compelled to give a supplier. I placed a $3300 order for Rapid Antigen Test kits so we could reopen my business safely with COVID testing for staff and guests.

What should have been a red flag was that they don't use a courier service for sending medical equipment. When the package got lost by Australia Post I was left without any real solution other than a "discount next order"… unhelpful when your operations are now at risk of being closed down over a COVID outbreak because you have no tests.

The Sales Rep, [Name Removed], refused to escalate the matter for potential return/refund effectively stating there was no one higher than her and she "considered the matter closed".

No response to two written complaints to head office. Bought superior tests from other supplier.
Poor customer service experience with this company, will not use again.

@191919: Sorry. Just want to be clear. Thought from the flow of the conversation, it was clear but I take full responsibility…

My comment 'One from 2 months back' simply meant a review from 2 months ago on the link that @deal junkie provided.

          • @seamonkey: Thanks for sharing your story mate. That is absolutely atrocious, I hope you eventually found some way to get your money back.

I think perhaps this seller should be black listed from OzBargain based on the online reviews & feedback in this thread. Otherwise this might just increase the number of people being scammed.

@seamonkey: No probs, it was good you posted the review & let us know anyways. Guess it just went whoosh over my head that you weren’t referring to your own story.

          • +1

@seamonkey: Terrible - Should be avoided

    • +3

Wow, has anyone had a good experience with them? I'm going to neg them too until evidence to the contrary, just so people give it a second guess before purchasing.

Desperate for some cheap antigen tests so I can protect my very vulnerable family members.

      • +1

Makes me angry to see retailers taking advantage of peoples desperation 😡

    • -1

is 3rd enough or you may need 4th or 5th ?

      • -5

Depends how big the politicians want to build their bank account.

    • +2

Wrong thread…SlavOz posts are over in the covid19 sub-forum

      • -5

Ohh sorry will leave this for the lefties to have fun dowvoting facts. Enjoy fearing life you lefties.

        • +9

Well, "doesn't work" isn't a fact. A fact would be "does not appear to be as effective against a particular strain". This is because the current vaccine was designed against the Alpha variant of the virus.
Our immune systems also don't function in the binary of "working" or "not working", so thankfully two doses is still somewhat effective.

Vaccines aren't exclusively for lefties, not much disparity in uptake between politcal persuasions.
There is however a correlation in vaccine uptake between higher educated individuals and those with a lower level of education. Also socio-economic correlations.

You seem to be the only lefty here, ever since you had that surfboard accident.

    • +1

Oh look, someone who can't handle that things change. surprise face. Yes things change! Covid is new and we don't know what's going on! Omg the shock!

      • -7

Things change? You can't track paedophiles but you need to scan into everywhere you go. Give up your own rights but don't you dare give up other peoples. Get back to your antifa fanboy page.

        • You have a right to spread a potentially deadly virus…. But why would you want to?

          • -1

@fiend: Did i say spread it? Lefties make up stuff, guess its easy watching the media. Enjoy your 23 boosters champ

    • +2

Post that shit on Facebook, not ozbargain.

    • +1

      find out it doesn't work

Mine have all worked fine, maybe you got the ones meant for horses?
Did you ask for a refund?

      • Why do you need a third then you genius?? Jab your kids and shut up

        • +1

Why do you need a third then you genius??

If you don’t know, ask your doctor, not social media.

          Nope.

Go back in your cave, lefty.

    CPAP Clinic > COVID testing

    Makes sense 🙄

  • anywhere Brisbane got stock in-store ?

    need one urgently

  • +3

gonna have some fun with their online chat

negging the deal as they're profiteering and bad reviews

  • +5

    Very Bad Reviews !

    • +2

The fake ones are positive though
      🤪

      • +1

        😂😂😂

  • +4

Came for the bargain….stayed for the irrelevant political raves.

  • +4

Price gouging is not a bargain

    • How much are they normally? Going by past Ozb posts, it looks like it can be anywhere between $7-10 upwards. Dad apparently paid $15 for one from a local place in Sydney…

all these tests will be on sale in the coming weeks as states start offering them for free

    • +1

Likely only free for those with symptoms or close contacts, and then likely only free via limited sources.

Doubt you'll see free ones for those that want to do a test for neither of the above scenarios

  • +9

'approximately 10 - 14 business days from ordering, subject to product availability
Lol, looks like they are selling a product that they have no stock for. Getting people's money first then buy the stock. Dodgy practice

    • +3

This appears to be their MO.

Their live chat is just overseas outsourced folks with zero answers. They just refer your message to higher ups.

  • i think idea is that you split a packet of 20 amongst family and friends …. i know my friends have tried to buy tests in melbourne and shelves are empty …..so other option is get turned away at testing line …..

$8.95 per test seems reasonable compared to some places selling a single test for $25 after splitting the 5 packs …….

    • +2

That's if you ever actually get them though, which seems unlikely given the reviews

  • -1

Whats the point of testing? If you have symptoms its 99% covid so just take medicine rest at home. Seriously its flu. What confirmation do we need….

  • +4

Don't buy from here, bad site

  • +1

Gonna name & shame - Pharmacy 4 Less @ Lakemba were ONLY selling individual tests for $20 each (on NYE)

  • +3

Man, this site sounds absolutely horrible! Thanks for the neg votes that made me aware!

  • +9

Took one for the ozb team and tried ordering from here to validate the overall sentiment, and so far they've:
    - charged my credit card
    - Not yet provided any order acceptance notification by email after 8 hours
    - LiveChat support have washed their hands of being able to cancel the order, or even know the status of the order
    - Couldn't get an ETA, not any idea of stock levels (if any)
    - I suspect that the LiveChat function is a generic off-shore call centre with no access to the back office systems. All they can do is read the public website and regurgitate back what you can already see
    - Was told that the only means of refund or resolution was to call the 1300 number during business hours

It smells more fishy than a scomo promise.

    • +1

      Legend !

    • +1

Could you call your bank with the credit card and put a stop on it?

      • +2

Yes, that's what I'm planning to do but they want you to try to resolve the dispute with the merchant and gather evidence first.

        • Arrrgh, sorry to hear mate!

    • -2

prefer a scomo promise over a dictator Dan one anyday.

    • +2

Hope you find a way for a refund, I was going to get it but decided against though if they had PayPal I would've tried

    • +1

Same here. I tried to call them to cancel my order. They said their billing team is away for holiday until end of next week.

  • Just received this email from them.

Looks like further delays, but they're giving you the option to get a refund.

    • so did you continue with the order and waiting 15-20 days, or have you asked for a refund?
I'm thinking about ordering. I'm just stocking up incase I need it.

      • I ended up asking for it to be cancelled as I got a couple orders in elsewhere, but haven't heard anything back yet.
