Dreame Robot Vacuum Mop W10 $1499 Shipped @ Gearbite eBay

120
SPSAVER

I have been doing a bit of research on this robot vac, this seem to be one of the best for hard floor (not mixed floor i.e. carpet/rug). Thinking to bite the bullet, seem to be a good price!!

  • Wow this thing already in Australia, really good review the o ly problem it don't have auto empty bin, will wait for the ecovacs version that have both

    • So how does the auto empty bin work?

      • +1

Deposit to a bigger bin on its docking station. Don’t see the need personally as I just empty it after every run and don’t need to buy disposable bags for the auto empty bin.

        • +1

It actually help alot unlike mopping you don't have to clean the vacuum everytime you run the robot, and after 2 weeks just bring you big vacuum and suck all the dust from that bag, you can keep reusing until it rips or worn out. Maybe every 1/2 a years or if you gentle every year, however I agree that self empty station need to have bagless cannister. So far only 2 manufacturers do that. Roborock and shark. But you cannot even buy both in Australia with bagless configuration.

          • @Anubizz: The roborock s7 bagless is available in Aus.
            I bought one myself.

    • I assume you were talking about Ecovacs X1 OMNI which is 50% more expensive than Dreame W10 in China (5999 RMB vs 3999 RMB). I would expect similar price difference in other regions as well. I really don't think it's a good idea to pay extra $700-900 just for the auto empty bin…

    • self empty bins ones are a hassle + extra thing that can break + extra cost as its a consumable…
only benefit is if you go on leave for 2 wks and wanna run it multiple times - but then again i rather just run it when i come home twice and empty the bins myself…

…. then again / no ones going anywhere these days…

Wow that's a lot for a robot vac.

    • He must REALLY hate mopping…takes 15m at my place (mostly tiles)

      • Yeah I haven’t used this but I can’t see how it would be useful. All it does is have a wet sponge drag across your whole house. If I got on my hands and knees and pushed down with only maybe 0.5kg of force on a wet sponge and dragged it in rows across my floor I wouldn’t expect it to do much. Surely by the end it’s just be pushing a dirty sponge all over everything. To actually work properly you’d need a heavy weight on it to apply decent pressure, and for it to oscillate like a car polisher and maybe pump steam out and also have a big belt of sponge so that it’s constantly changing to a new piece of sponge

Technique is evolving. Check the reviews on Youtube. It works exactly in the way that you expected.

Wow, too expensive…I will do it myself

    • Can you do like as well?

  • +3

The dreame w10 is what i would have gotten if i didn't know ECOVACS DEEBOT X1 OMNI existed zzzzzz

    • if people are spending $1.5k on a robot vac might as well spend a bit more to get the omni.

      • Agree….I'm waiting for it to hit Oz then pulling trigger

        • Only on China beliave at the moment.

      • It's not just "a bit more". The only australia seller I can find is this one ($2499). You can also search it on Aliexpress. X1 is at least $1000 more expensive than W10.

        https://www.digicat-au.com/product/kwsqnjqr/

        • Australia seller? that dodgy Chinese site prob buy their crap from Taobao or Tmall and flip them here at a huge mark up. there is no global version of the Omni yet nor do ECOVAC offer local warranty for a product that's not released here. if you want to use that $2499 price as guidance simply because you want to get ripped off then i won't argue with you. X1 Omni costs 6000RMB which is around $1300AUD from ECOVAC official store on TMALL.

          • @Creamsoda: digicat-au is an Australian company based in Sydney. They provide local warranty just like what Gearbite is doing. If you want to "spend a bit more to get the omni" from an Australian seller, at this moment digicat-au is your only choice. Yes, price of OMNI X1 is 5999RMB in China. But it doesn't mean you can pay $1300 to get one here. Price of Dreame W10 is only 3999RMB in China. If you want to get one in Australia now, you need pay at least $1400 instead of $870. If you want to get OMNI X1 from aliexpress, the lowest price is $2124.72 + GST + import tax which is even more than $2499.

            • @ruanjiangongren: BS stop lying. digicat is dodgy as they come. No ABN, No GST https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/digicat selling counterfeit airpods and no deliveries are reported on ozbargain https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/603376. At best they'll order a Omni from tmall and ship it to you from China and add a $1000AUD mark up like any other dodgy chinese drop shipper that claim to be Aussie. get a forwarder or use the Cainiao service from Taobao +$100 shipping +$130 GST at least you know you'll get it. there is no import tax from CHINA stop pulling crap out of your arse to justify that dodgy drop shipping site based in China.

@Creamsoda: Honestly, I don't understand why you are so reluctant to admit that OMNI X1 is NOT just "a bit more" expensive than Dreame W10.

I didn't suggest you to buy anything from digicat-au. I didn't say digicat-au is a good seller either. I just said that digicat-au is the only company that I found selling OMNI X1 in Australia at this moment and their price is much higher than $1499. If you don't think they are a qualified local seller, I'm totally fine. It means there is NO Australian seller who is selling X1 OMNI and provide local warranty like what Gearbite is doing for Dreame W10. In other words, you managed to prove that "spend a bit more to get the omni" (from Australia) is a lie.

In China, OMNI X1 (5999RMB) is 50% more expensive than Dreame W10 (3999RMB). Obvisouly, "spend a bit more to get the omni" (from China) is also a lie.

It's normal that people compare price of a grey imported product with price of the same product from AliExpress. But Taobao is a different story. Most Australian customers do NOT have the ability to buy products from Taobao and arrange the forwarder service. Products from Taobao are usually cheaper than AliExpress. But how many Taobao deals have you ever seen in Ozbargin?

Besides, you forgot the customs duty and clearance charges as price of OMNI X1 is over $1000. These extra cost does not apply to Dreame W10 as its price is below $1000. Thus, "spend a bit more to get the omni" (from Taobao) is still a lie.

  • X1 Omni is a better machine but rumor says there are a few minor issues with the hardware itself on the current revision. Hence, local support/warranty would be definitely a plus.

Xiaomi$300 from years back still going strong

  • Viomi s9
    Or
Roborock s7 and the auto empty dock

  • Is The Roidmi Eva available in Australia ?

  • The price of this robot reminds me of a person that complains to me about hiding a cleaner and paying $90 an hour; just do it yourself.

    • Hide the cleaner…is that like hide the sausage?

      • For $90 an hour I hope so

I got this from Gearbyte last week and I love it. I'd like to share couple of things.

    1. It's NOT an Australian model. However, the APP (Xiaomi Home) works properly after I switched the region to Singapore.
    2. It can sweep and mop an area of approximately 130 square meters (timber and tile flooring) before it needs a recharge.
    3. If the area to be cleaned (excluding the occupied area) is bigger than 160 square meters, the water tank will need to be refilled in middle of the cleaning process. I don't recommend this product in this case.

BTW, $1499 is not the best price. It was $1439.1 last week.

A lot of money for something that doesn’t clean carpets properly.

  • I wait till the price drops further then I can finally retire my mi robot to the garage.
