Was waiting for one of these to pop up on sale and ended up buying it earlier today at $150. Anyway price dropped $3 since this morning to 147 with eBay plus which is not an all time low but one of the lower prices recently

I bought this a few days ago for $155 from them directly through their website. I know not quite as good a deal as OP, but still, not bad for anyone without ebay plus.
I had my work buy this for me when i started WFH like 6 months ago and i love it. Battery only lasts a week and a bit for me with the backlight on the lowest setting with 8-10 hours of use a day. I also use it to game. I have the MX Master 3 as well but i wasn't a fan and went back to my G305 wireless.
The battery should last a lot longer than a week. You should look into that.

Is this good for general office word, outlook, excel and chrome use (no gaming, programming, video editing etc)? I have a laptop only, so won't need multi device feature. I will be transporting this from office and home a few times a week and am told these are heavy. Any thoughts if these are recommended?
It's not a portable laptop. There are better alternatives for that. Maybe even the Keys mini.
I need the number pad, so Mini is out of the question. I found Microsoft QSZ-00017 on Amazon which may be ok for my needs.
This thing is really heavy, I don't want to put numbers on it but it is so much heavy than my Logitech K400 by many multiple times.

I have this keyboard and love it. Typing is a pleasure, I love the number pad and the way the whole thing lights up when my hands approach. I am typing with it now and it is sitting on my lap and I have no problems with its weight. Actually, its weight gives it a secure feeling!
They key Illumination is for fancy purpose and drains the battery.
maybe thats why my batt only lasted 1-2 weeks (but i am heavy user 10-11hours usage a day)
