    $6720 at VideoPro (QLD)

    • Shipping kills it for Syd & Melb post codes

  • Isn't the 83 inch C1 often this price or better?

Is the evo better in some way or am I missing something else?

The EVO panel in the G1 is brighter

      • New model this year will be even brighter.

The g1 is about $500 dearer than c1 when I was checking them out at in the other day and I think it’s just that it’s extremely slim all over for wall mounting where as the c1 has a box at the bottom third.

    • Are you sure you're comparing the same size panel though?

  • Might be worth holding out for the C2/G2, details announced this week

I bought the C1 77” for $4850 on Boxing Day. It’s hard to justify another $2k just for a little more brightness (20%) and only during “peak brightness which the reviewers said during the testing was not noticeable to the human eye.

The only reason you should pay for this is if you want the more svelte wall mount look If you wall mount it.

    • The extra brightness can be handy during daytime viewing in a brightly lit area. And agree that the major difference is the sleek gallery design for wall mounting.

  • Looking to upgrade from G1 65. Considering the G1 77 or possibly the G2 97 depending on the price. Has anyone heard anything on likely AU RRP?

    • g2 97 will most likely be $10k AUD and would need a huge wall n viewing distance of 4-5 metres
