  • How do I obtain the Windows 11 license?

    • +1

Don't intend to use this myself but was curious so I had a look around.
Browse to this while logged into Office with your UTas account:
      https://portal.office.com/account/?ref=MeControl#subscriptio…
You should see "Windows 10/11 Enterprise A5 for students" under your Subscriptions. Presumably, that means that if you use your UTas email to log into Windows, it will recognise that license.

Not sure exactly what will happen when you stop being a student, but I suspect you'll lose the license and your Windows will enter an non-activated state. Personally, I would avoid relying on this as your primary Windows license.

  • This appears to now be expired. I wanted to enrol for semester 2, but all the info regarding the fee waiver appears to be removed from the UTAS site.

Course fees without waiver also appear to have increased from ~$800 to ~$1000 (some courses were already ~$1000).

  • bummer I just saw this I wish I had enrolled for semester 1. If anyone hears of any others please post.
    Thx.
