So this little gadget is an extension of your bag less vacuum to transform it into a bagged system. Genius, maybe the next step is to put actual bags in the vacuum.
    Mind blown

      A vacuum for your vacuum

      • +3

Stop it, it's too much technology for me!

      • But you missing the part that's ingenious here..

That vacuum for your vacuum.. it's bagless!

    • +8

I think handhelds generally won't have a very large capacity, so using many small bags might end up being more wasteful or expensive than one large bag I imagine. The thing I hate about my dyson bagless is when emptying it and easily getting a face full of the fine dust.

After being covered with a cloud dust while I was emptying my vacuum bin today, I can't wait to get one of these. Hopefully there will be a deal soon on the bespoke vacuum.

    • What do you need to do to empty your vaccum? Sounds like you need a better vaccum.

It was the big Dyson ball one, so hover the heavy ass canister over the red bin (which I hate to do as well) and bang it all out. It was pretty full of dust and hair so it clumped and wouldn't just fall out and I had to take a stick to dig it out lol. Had to take a shower after because I was just covered in dust ugh

        • +1

At this point, why not just get a vacuum that takes bags?

My Miele C3 has superior suction to any Dyson I’ve owned or used. I got a C3 Cat & Dog for $450 and have never seen the Dyson Animal Big Ball for less than $550. That difference of $100 is about 3-4 years of bags, but it also means not getting dust everywhere when emptying, or having to rip knotted hair out of the dust bin.

          • @no not me: You are so right….the whole Dyson thing is so weird. Vacuuming is supposed to create a healthier cleaner environment, then you fill your longs with (micro)particles when emptying cannisters.
            Love the Miele

          • @no not me: Yeah, at the time my husband just went out and bought it (8 years ago?), it still works well but I also cbb lugging it around so I use it once a month. I do want to replace my stick dreame v9 for everyday cleaning, think it's performance has degraded especially while vacuuming with the soft roller head

          • @no not me: Because bagged vacs are not cordless. People want the co venience of a cordless vac.

            • @krisspy: The person I replied to said they have a Dyson Big Ball, these are only available in corded form.

              • @no not me: i use the big ball once a month or so for a 'deeper clean' but i use my dreame stick for everyday cleanups, i hate emptying that in the red bin too.

      • any bagless vac will do this to you

Yep dustless vacuums are great until you have to empty it and get covered in duct.

If you have access to Samsung EPP (i.e. login with an Edu, Gov, Telstra, Bank, login etc) you can buy the vacuum at a discount and get the bin for an extra $100. Usual stack with $50 newsletter discount applies as well, this is what I did when I got the Vac+Bin about 18 months back.

      • Sadly no :( I did see that deal for the jet 90 with bin for like.. $6/700 last year but it was sold out before I could find anyone lol. Waiting for the bespoke to be released elsewhere, seems only appliances online has it atm

        • My mistake - I didn't know they released a bespoke model… I am no interested to see what the new bespoke fridge range look like now

Isn't it cheaper to just wear your covid mask whilst empting your vac….

    • @Rsoul?
"Isn't it cheaper to just wear your covid mask whilst empting your vac…."

It is and for the life of me someone gave you a negative for having the audacityto state the bleedin' obvious….

… now someone will neg me to wipe out my plus vote for you.

    • Isn't it quicker and cleaner to just vacuum the contents of the dust canister? Wouldn't get your hands dirty either, having to pull out tangled hair that's trapping the contents.

  • Did you find a battery? I'm looking for a v70 battery

    • No sales yet

  • Does it do a good job cleaning the filter inside the bag? When I empty my Dyson cylinder, sometimes there's extra dust and hair in the metal filter which I have to manually brush out.

If this product can clean that pretty well, I should invest samsung. But how easy is it to clean this product?

    • Yes it does a decent job but you still need to wash it from time to time as fine particles can still get through. I had so drilled wall dust and it’s appearing in the filter.

    • I use a dustpan and brush to clean the Dyson out over a couple of sheets of newspaper… old school :)

  • A device to clean the vacuum.
How about a vacuum with a bag so u can just throw that bag?

    • That's such a 1980 technology. Pfft!

    • It depends on how much you use your vacuum I guess, proprietary vacuum bags can be pretty damn expensive but then again if you are buying these fancy bagless vacuums you probably don't care about an extra $50 per year for 4-5 bags. Shane there isn't a standardised set of vacuum bags, imo cartridges ect ect
The other thing is as the bags get filled the suction usually reduces even only half full there's a big difference (that was my experience anyway) but I've been using a cyclone for about 5-6 years so technology may have improved I'm not sure.

    • Build a tiny bag for a portable vac and make sure it's tiny so it needs replacing one a week or your vac loses what little power it had in the first place. Market it as "compact"

You're onto a billion dollar industry there, I'd like to be an investor.

    • It's for a stick vac. They don't make bagged stick vacs. This lets you turn your stick vac into a bagged vac.

If they made bagged stick vacs it would be expensive because those bags won't be able to hold much.

This or the LG one that self empties?

Looking to replace our old Dyson V6 and like the sound of self emptying

  • +1

I have the V90, and the on/off is exactly that, there is no need to hold the button on like some others.

We also bought the clean station, but after negotiated discount for buying both and 10% JB day, well it was a few days, and 15% off gift cards, the net price was about $56. for the clean station..

It's a gimmick, but also a convenience and we are happy to have it. Plus, yes, it's a bagged system, but i have manually emptied it. I know that takes away from the no mess empty, but im ok with that..

    • Oh so you can reuse the bag?

      • Yes, but its meant to be a one use.. like any bagged vac. i just pulled out the hair n fluff n stuff, and shook it out.

        • The ozbargain way!! How many re-uses can you manage? My interest is peaked

          • @[Deactivated]: lol.. dont know yet. I have only emptied it once, though will do another soon. The dog leaves a lot, so thats most of it..

  • Is the v90 any good? Let's say compared to a dyson V10 which is around the same price

    • +1

I like it, out Dyson V11 died 2 years exactly after warranty. I think because we have pets the motor died quicker or maybe it’s a bad batch. We like the v90 because of the on button no need to hold and trigger like the Dyson. Only downside is max power will run about 20min or less. Not ideal so that is why I wanted to get a spare battery l.
Good thing is the v90 standing dock has a spare battery charging slot.

  • Unrelated, but this made me think how nice it'd be to have a bin that empties itself into the wheelie bin. Then I remembered seeing something on tv maybe 20 years ago now where someone had a chute in their kitchen wall that went outside to their wheelie bin so they just put rubbish directly in the wheelie bin from the kitchen

So much comments about "oH Just uSe a baGGeD vAC"

You do realise this is to clean a portable vac right?
You think a portable vac would have enough space for a bag with meaningful surface area to retain what little power it has?

Sure you might see this as useless, what about someone with respiratory problems? Or someone who doesn't want to deal with cat litter or tangled hair stuck on the canister?

  • I have this, it's disappointing. It is bad at emptying long hair (20cm+ strands) and it doesn't always suck thicker dust either. I usually have to run twice or have to manually pull the dust/hair out of it to properly empty the bin.

If you've done a small clean with less dust or hair, it does work well, only requiring the single clean.

  • Agree with Nero, sometimes, but not always, i have to manually clear the dog hair from the canister, this is due to the empty door of the canister not being able to open fully, its on a slight angle..

  • i was looking for one of these.. missed it. :(

    • Hello Lostn, These are now back online. We have one unit left! - Malcolm

      • is this model for Jet 90 or Jet 70?

The part number does not match Samsung AU's unit. Your part number is VCASAE90A.

The one sold on Samsung AU is VCA-SAE903/SA.

        Is yours an import?
