This code doesnt work on EPP (only works on standard portal where final price is higher even after applying this code).

You can always contact Samsung to request a discount code.

  • Is it better to get a 4-door or 2-door top or bottom mount refrigerator? Side by side ones have a narrow freezer section, which makes it difficult to store wide items.

    • That depends entirely on how you live. My parents like having as much freezer space as possible because they always have a months worth off food crammed in their fridge freezer. I only need a small freezer section as we only buy food for the week ahead and the whole thing is mostly empty most of the time.

    • i greatly prefer 4-door or 2-door+1bottom drawer, so opening either door doesn't stub my toes unless i'm bending down and really ready for that.

maybe skill issue on my part, but i'd prefer not having to ever think about that.

      • TIL it's possible to stub toes while opening a freezer drawer, at least on the Internet :)

  • Hmm, I can't get it below $1,272.

    • Ah now it's $920.88, I didn't select the black version before

  • Confused, do you need to trade in your old fridge for this deal? In that case, is that really a deal?

    • +2

If you want to work for the $200, pick up a free broken fridge from marketplace and trade that in. :D

  • Right door of my fridge doesnt swing to its full extent due to wall.
The fridge is already pulled forward (compared to the cabinetry on opposite side).
Please see how it looks : https://imgur.com/a/egHs4MM , ignore the temp fix I have in picture.
What are my options to protect the fridge surface getting damaged from wall?
Is there any anti collision stopper or tap which be used in this case?

    • I understand that all refrigeration units must have a manufacture specified gap on all sides, usually about 15cms. Yours doesn't look like it does on the sides. And you can't pull it out anymore either.

      • +1

These days, it's more like 3-5 cm except for built-in units.

Would usually use rubber/silicone bumpers for similar purposes, but may end up causing dents in this case, something thicker may work?
Or even some of these half foam balls? Or even something like a rubber sheet for a cleaner look.
I see from a search that manufacturers may have door stops that you can attach to the hinge.

What's this Samsung Care+ for $199 I see on your invoice for?
Can it be taken off and make this even cheaper? Sounds like BS 'care' that one is already entitled to via consumer protections.
EDIT: oh its $1 .. invoice suggests otherwise. weird

In government_au EPP I can see $921.88 final price after $200 trade in. Initial price was $1,169.35 .

  • I ordered a LG fridge during the recent sales and it was delivered last week. The delivery guys couldn’t get it inside the home through the main door so it’s lying in the garage. They refused to take it out from the box outside of home as per their policy.
Never thought getting it inside could be an issue .. I don’t live in a very old house. Now thinking whether to get the main door removed or return this fridge.

I removed my front door to get a fridge in once - wasn't actually that hard !

Literally the same thing happened to me. Measured the fridge space and thought I was good to go but unfortunately the door was the issue.

Harvey Norman took it back luckily and refunded me. I ordered another one from E&S and they were very helpful - took fridge out of the box and then took my house door off (fitted it back on after it was inside). Would recommend. Just make sure that the actual fridge out of box fits within your door dimensions

Weird. The guys who delivered my fridge (up apartment stairs) took it out of the box to make it for through the staircase and front door. No way could the packing box have fit.

  • I have this fridge. I like it. No problems in about ~2.5 years of ownership. That's all.

Speaking of side by side fridges, does anyone know why you can't get 700L+ fridges anymore? Back in 1997 HN was selling a Westinghouse 720L fridge (see: https://youtu.be/O6L1XjoLVrU?si=ZWLV3F-pHRls1dsx) but today I can't find any of that size?
