Can now re-tire with an offer like this. 👍

      That's wheely good

    • It's put the skids on my New Year budget planning

  • +7

I'm tired, but this deal is really putting me under pressure to buy.

Get a grip mate, you'll burnout if you overthink it. On balance I'd say it's definitely worth it. Particularly given the alignment with the Pirelli deal. No need to tread so carefully.

      ok bye.

      • +3

that was great. appreciate the effort

Tafe was always good for the critical thinkers

  • Do they sell the Coles Myer gift cards?

    • +2

Haven't been a part of that family for a number of years. Owned by Continental.

    • +2

      No.

mycar does not sell Coles Group & Myer gift cards, mostly because they stopped accepting Coles Group & Myer gift cards in July 2019.

    • I don't think they even had them when it was still Kmart.

  • I can see the offer but not able to save this offer. anyone else facing this issue

  • +4

Managed to combine this with a flybuys 20,000 point offer last year, along with price matching on a Bridgestone 4 tyres for the price of 3 deal :)

  • +3

I already paid when booked online. Not sure if I can ask them to reverse the online payment and take payment from Amex Card. Thoughts?

    • I went in and they made me pre pay..

  • How r these guys compared to jax? Any buy 3 get 1 free deals for suv cars at the moment?

    • Depends on your local. Sylvania waters nsw is great, got my tires done 3 times there for different cars, no issues, also got a free tyre replaced as they couldnt repair a tyre that got a hole in it within the first year

  • isn't that Pirelli deal expired?

    • OP meant if you ordered but the fitting is yet to be done, this is god sent offer.

      • Like me, woohoo!
I'll see if I can add a service too.

    I like rim jobs

Wait is that how puns work?

    • back to school you

  • Cunningly nothing on mycar matches to other shops' buy 3 get 1 free for 205/55/16…

  • Not so perfect timing if you already had them fitted!

    • had originally planned for 15jan, but moved it to Dec :(

  • Not sure even with this discount whether it makes up for their jacked-up prices.

Just booked in for Friday. The price they quoted was $80 more per tyre than Tempe Tyres however they had no problem in price matching.

    • Thinking of doing the same for 2 tyres (to price match with tempe tyres, who has them for $70 less per tyre)
Did you do it over the phone or visit the store? and was the tyre in stock? (been told that the one that I wanted would need to ordered)

      • +1

You can get it done over the phone. Tyre needs to be in stock at Tempe Tyres for them to beat the price. Competitor also has to be within 30km of the Mycar store.

        • Thanks. Got a price match without any hassle. agent was upselling $75 wheel alignment but declined for now.

  • What's the chance they'll do two separate payments? Got the offer on my card and husband got the offer as well. Tyres going to cost me over $800, so works perfectly to split payment and take advantage of deal on both cards…

    • Last year did just that and they had no issues splitting payment.

      • Awesomeee, Thanks! Plus price match will really sweeten the deal.

  • Not sure if this deal would have saved more for me but I bought from Tyersales on boxing day which includes wheel alignment worth $80 for free so check when buying from Mycar.

  • didn't know this was so popular. don't need mine! happy to help someone if I can…

  • I haven't used them since the KTAC days but they were very effective at sourcing a specific OEM runflat tyre I needed, and price matching a much better deal from tyresales online. Looking back at the pricing, I think I paid about $740 for two tyres fitted and installed which is only marginally more than what the stealership wanted to charge for one.

Targeted? Not seeing it in my app, link just goes to Amex au home page.

    • It could be:

      • Targeted, or
      • The registration cap has been reached, or
      • It is a glitch and the offer will re-appear in a day or so. (The latter has happened to me for a few offers recently, including Spotify and Google Store.)
  • I have a new Mazda 3 a service is $320 what should I buy to get to $400? So I get $100 back? Better than a service with Mazda $340

    • +1

A wheel alignment is $75 per a few comments above

  • 4 tyres + wheel alignment + essential service + air filter + new brakes = $1604 over 4 cards => success

  • +1

I tried saving this offer to my Amex card as soon as I saw it on OzBargain (24 hours after it was listed), but by then the allocation was already "full". When I complained to Amex, I was told that the allocation by MyCar was quite a small number.

  • Can't find it, is it expired/cap full?

    • I think the cap was reached on the same day the offer was released. The cap was set at 10,000 participants, which is relatively low.
