  • Are you able to activate as an eSIM?

    My current amaysim plan expires in 2 days and I don’t think a physical Vodafone SIM would arrive in time.

    Also ShopBack will give you 25% off Vodafone prepaid SIM

    You can often get the Lebara Small starter packs with 25GB data for $6 at Coles/Woolies, they have a 30 day expiry rather than 28.
    This Voda deal is good if you need the extra data though.

    Edit: The Lebara website currently has their Medium 30 day prepaid on sale for $9 with 70GB data / 30 days, and Large with 100GB data for $15 / 30 days.

  • Is this enough to get your current number fully ported or is a separate recharge required?

    I'm looking to port out of Telstra to another network before porting to Boost - all the crap involving talking to Boost support to get a blank sim, talking to Telstra support to swap to prepaid etc. seems more difficult than porting out of Telstra then to Boost.

      Yes

    • Great minds think alike.
      This starter pack seems to have $30 value on it already.
      Ready to Port into

    • Used one of these for the exact purpose.

      Was on Vodafone for a week to assess the performance - wasn't impressed. I also expected more from their 5G.

      The port back to Boost was pretty quick.

      • What's the minimum port out time for Boost?

        • +1

          I don't believe there is a minimum time you need to be ported out.

          I like to get value from the temporary sim and it gives me a chance to see what the other networks are like. I would have stayed with Vodafone for the 30 days, but I stayed in a regional area.

  • Cheaper on eBay for $7.50 :)

    • After cashback it is $6
      With tracking

    • do u have link?

      • Why would you want a link to a more expensive price?

        This deal is $6.00 after cashback.

        • +1

          Maybe they have an eBay gift card/don't bother with CB.

          • @[Deactivated]: true i give up on cashback like playing lottery game. better for me use gift card for garanteeing discount

        • stopped using that after they rejected my cashback and bonus cashback.
          similar situation to the comments here

          before buying i confirmed category is listed in eligible category. it showed item was in category xyz, all 3 places said same category.
          item category did not change and was listed in correct category.

          i contacted support but they claimed the item was in a different category that is ineligible so then i checked the item again but its still in the original category that is eligible so i now i dont trust those guys so for me instant discount is better than gamble my luck on cashback.

  • Can these SIM be activated for 365 days in some way?
    Thanks

    • +1

      Don't think so.

    • +1

      It can be activated as PAYG plan. You will have that much credit for everything, calling, texting, data…

  • Can I use this pack if I am already using the $10 7 day pack? or do i have to port in and out?

    • Unlikely. You'd likely need to port back in.

      Contact customer service, confirm, and report back.

    • Find an Optus or Telstra sim to port into first.
      Then back to Voda

  • It just arrived today.
    Apparently the sim card expires 365days from date of purchase.

    Considering to buy another few to sim hop every 28days or so.

    Hop between telcos to qualify as PORT.
    The system struggles if you try Port between same network providers.

    Amaysim(Optus) Port to Boost(Telstra) or Kogan(Voda) should be smooth transition from my experience.

    Hope 5G is good with Vodafone prepaid in CBD

    Hope this deal comes back

  • Op. Might be worth mentioning that:
    You can get esim;
    It gives endless data after 15gb;
    Only $25 every 28 days with autorecharge;
    500 international minutes each month.

    Correct me if I’m wrong but this is the cheapest endless data sim with included calls? About $27 a month for all unlimited.

    I know that Felix offer up to 20mbps sims all unlimited but that costs $35 a month and no international calls.
