ASUS RT AX86U for A$395.99 + delivery
Been looking around for this and seems to be cheapest but the delivery seems to be a bit of a mess. For me based in VIC/MELBOURNE - AU36.99. Also not sure about the vendor either.
But cheapest around so far.

No. AX is Wifi 6.
No they are not.. ax86u is newer wifi 6 router..with few other differences..
No they are not the same. AX is new used for Wifi 6 where as AC is for WiFi 5

But in any event…. still dont see this as a barg. If you are aiming up, another $100 roughly would get you the ROG AX11000
the AX86S is also a different lower cost model
also note that there are also different versions for each region regarding wifi channels, and they are region locked
better to wait and buy local

Wi-Fi 6E routers are at least double the price.
Good price but not the cheapest I have seen recently, I would also be a bit cautious about the vendor, not sure if getting support would be an issue if you ever had trouble with the router?. They regularly come up for $419 with free shipping from vendors based in Aus so might be worth hanging out for one of those?
