  • I wouldn't call this a bargain. Can buy it from Scorptec for same price. $26 shipping whereas Scorptec is $15 to Metro Melbourne. Bargain implies price is cheap, not similar to regular price of other vendors.

  • May I know what is the different between U2410M and U2410W? Thanks.

yeah this is just the lowest price on staticice :(

Guarantee if you ring or chat to dell and tell them to do that price delivered they would do it.

    hmm whats the w for?

    I know theres a U2410 and a U2412M (i think) but ive never known a model with a W.

    • My one at work is a U2410f

    • My one is U2410M. Have no idea what is the M stand for.

"enforcer103" I wouldn't compare TN pannels to IPS pannels.

        • +2

Make up what you like, ive sat next to TN panels and IPS panels at work many a times and the difference is HUUUUUUUGE.

cmon mods if you have something to contribute say it.

Have no dea what you are raving on about.

Are you saying the mods are voting you down??

Mods dont have a limit on the number of negative votes they use with comments BUT they are restricted like everyone else to one vote per comment. So its not a mod voting you down 11 times and we dont have 11 mods.

Mods can also see who makes the votes, can remove votes as part of the moderation.

In the meantime take a pill and relax, as you said its a site where people can express an opinion, and guess what, people have expressed their opinion about your opinion.

But considering the vagueness of your comment I might have misunderstood what you are saying.

Also when you have a site/mod issue take it up in the TWAM thread not in a deal post

        • FACT: This IPS panel is a lot better in so many ways to the TN panels you are probably thinking of, from better viewing angles and colour reproduction to the 16:10 format and the fantastic warranty from Dell.

What is a "good" 24 inch panel to you? Something with an over-exaggerated 2ms response time and 5 trillion to 1 contrast ratio? No thanks, I would rather take a proper 8-bit panel with a full range of connectivity options and physical adjustments that can be used.
BTW, mine still deals with games just as well as pretty much all of the monitors I have seen from brands such as Acer, BenQ, LG, even Samsung.

  • U2410W is way overpriced on Dell's site at $799 before discounts.

A good monitor yes, but geez you can get the 2711W for the same price 9 days out of 10.

Agree with the guy who says call Dell and they will match the price (and give you free delivery) no questions asked…

thanks to you I've only got 1 more neg vote left

  • you might as well get 23inch model for $249 at harris tech

      That monitor is 1920 x 1080.

      • edit: sorry it is 1920 x 1200, excellent bargain!

the W used to describe wide screen on Dells

  • The reason why this monitor cost this much is that not all panels are created equal. Not even all IPS panels are created equal. The flood of sub-$200 24" monitors are TN panels. The sub-$300 IPS panels are all the budget e-IPS panels. The U2410w here is the top of the range H-IPS model with 8bit colour depth and factory colour-tuned and a touch control panel.

As far as I can tell all the Dell Ultrasharp panels ending with 'M' use e-IPS panels and 'H' letter denotes 16:9 aspect ratio.

This panel may be top of the range for Dell but in terms of IPS panels it's far from it. My 24" IPS panel has 10-bit colour depth and 133% gamut.

      • 10-bit colour depth

        :'(

One day I will see the rainbow.

      • Just out of curiosity what model do you have?
What sort of panel would you recommend?

  • Price is back to $499. Good thing I got my order in for $429. Thanks so much OP. :D

Price is showing as $645.00 for me
