Average price at best from a no name brand. Hope OP Doesn’t run out of stock for such an awesome limited time deal lmao

Ugreen ones (also a trash Chinese dropshipper with trash customer service) is $19.54 today without trying if we want to compare amazon options.

I suggest Baseus 100W USB C to Type C Charger Cable PD Fast Charge Lead For Samsung Huawei for a ‘same same’ better deal currently $9.27 on eBay after plus code (or $18.54 if you for some reason need 2)

Huh I always assumed ugreen were one of the decent ones.

I thought so too. Had chargers and cables from them too and they seemed to do what they advertised. I had two car vent phone holders from them at start of last year. Within months, one broke. Like we put a phone into it and the middle bit just fell out.

Reached out to their rep on amazon and they fobbed me off despite constantly advertising no worry warranties. Redirected me to amazon to get refund.

Amazon rep (who recently just seem to be a-holes in general compared to 3-4 years ago), tried to fob me off and tell me to go back to seller to negotiate.

In the end amazon offered a return label after repeated requests to escalate the issue. The value of holder is relatively insignificant, just under $25 but it’s about sending a message to dodgy Chinese amazon sellers that you can’t just flood the market with cheap stuff and make representations about warranty, and then expect to take no responsibility.

Same here, bought a table mobile stand of Ugreen for $40, looked really solid but the hinge broke in few days, never bought ugreen again .. overhyped cheap material.

@ChipsChicky: I never take any amazon review seriously now. Typically over positive reviews are incentivised shills.

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Well said Jimbo, this Spamazon pandemic is getting out of hand.

Ozbargain should be for bargains, not free advertising.

I never take any amazon review seriously now

Leave a negative review and they will reward you for changing it.. or join their FB group for incentives.. cough soundpeats cough..

Anyway thanks for the link above to a cheaper product. You're right, this rep keeps posting the same cables when there are cheaper options available without looking too hard.

              • @m9: haha yeap soundpeats

on one side they're super budget, one the other side, they are not really that good.
just nearly always on sale at 30-40% off, and they give 50% off next purchase.
In their defence it doesnt take THAT much arguing with rep to get partial/full refunds, they are just that obsessed with maintaining image of 5 star supplier.

my truefree 2 had an issue where a little piece of the bit to stop earwax and dust getting into the body of the bit fell out, it was originally glued in by factory, they said for me to just glue it back in. No offer for replacement - there is absolutely no way I can see how I can apply glue on the INNER rim only and ensure no glue falls down into the body/where the sound comes out.

after a bit of arguement with rep, they agreed to a full refund, as long as I gave 5 star review. Said i would, but i didnt give a review at all.
                Small victories?

Also had an issue with the sound engine 3's (that i got for something like 50% off of a lightning deal after rep issued coupon, so something like $25) where after a few uses the touch buttons stopped working, or would glitch out, like press once and it would skip 3 tracks etc. Also got offered a full refund and keep product, as long as I gave a 5 star review. I also didnt review.

Agree with Jimothy - do not cheap out on cables, especially ones rated for a '5a max current'. Within a few months, most usually break/stop working at its intended capacity. Had a Ugreen one shit itself, it did the infamous 'needs to be bent and plugged in at this angle to work'.

I also have a personal vendetta against dropshippers (when something goes wrong, they usually feign ignorance while taking ages to reply, hoping you drop the case as it's a waste of time).

Buying good cables (e.g Anker) will save you money in the long run - I have a USB-C one which was purchased 3 years ago, and to this day has 0 issues.

    • Agreed!

I've never had any issues with Anker either. Yeah a little more expensive, but none of them have been "security updated MFI" by Apple and they all still work perfectly (been at least 2 years).

Spend a little more and get Anker. In a few years you'll still be using them, whereas cheaper ones will need to be replaced- over and over.

Just as a heads up, if anyone is planning on using a USB-C cable for a monitor, these will not work. You need a specific USB-C to USB-C monitor cable. These will typically having the charging element in them as well.
