    For anyone who is interested in using the TCN Her gift card at JB Hi-Fi, JB Hi-Fi is once again participating in TCN’s online gift card exchange facility, which means you can exchange part or all of the balance of the TCN Her gift card for a digital JB Hi-Fi gift card through the TCN website.

    I believe this is the same for the TCN Teen gift card, but I currently do not have a TCN Teen gift card on me, so I cannot get past the text box asking me for a TCN Teen gift card number to check how you can redeem a TCN Teen gift card…

        Pretty sure the JB Hifi site lets you buy gift cards with gift cards. So you can just pay for 1 using multiple to join them.

        You cannot consolidate multiple JB Hi-Fi gift cards into one JB Hi-Fi gift card. JB Hi-Fi stopped allowing that mid last year, and I think it coincided with the removal of the limit for the number of gift cards you can redeem in one transaction on JB Hi-Fi online.

        You’re officially not allowed to use TCN or Ultimate gift cards to purchase JB Hi-Fi gift cards. JB Hi-Fi’s head office issued a directive in late 2020 to all stores (in the aftermath of this deal) for staff to stop customers from using TCN or Ultimate gift cards to pay for JB Hi-Fi gift cards. However, there is nothing in JB Hi-Fi’s POS system to stop you from doing this if you lucky enough to find a staff member who is happy for you to do this.

            Late 2020 was the first time Coles sold selected TCN gift cards at a 15% discount, and that is the deal I linked to in my previous comment.

            When I went to a JB Hi-Fi towards the end of the late 2020 deal at Coles, I had a discussion with a couple of JB Hi-Fi staff members at different JB Hi-Fi stores, and they both said they were instructed by head office to stop people using TCN gift cards to buy JB Hi-Fi gift cards.

            I know that Coles had a similar deal on selected TCN gift cards in late 2021, but I wasn’t referring to that one.

              @WookieMonster: I believe it all depends on each store and staff.
              I converted a big chunk of $100 HOME cards into multiple $500 JB Hifi gift cards without an issue. The staff at JB Hifi Preston (VIC) was super friendly and helpful.

        • Go to the TCN web page for the gift card you want to partially or fully convert. OP has included direct links to these pages in the table in the description.

        • Scroll down to the How To Use section:

        • For pages where you have to provide a gift card number to see how to use the card, input the gift card number and follow the prompts. I’m not sure of the exact prompts, because I tried looking for a TCN Teen gift card at Woolworths not long ago without any luck.
        • For pages that do not ask you for a gift card number to see how to use the card, select JB Hi-Fi from the dropdown list and click on the oval button saying Online to the right of the dropdown list, click on Redeem and then follow the prompts.

      So are you saying buying these cards you can swap them online again on tcn site I thought jb stopped this recently. It’s ok if you use them in store but at times I like to use gift cards in store and swapping them for jb ones would be better.

        For the TCN Her gift card, yes.

        • You can check this yourself by checking the TCN Her gift card page, scrolling down to the How To Use section, selecting JB Hi-Fi from the dropdown list and selecting the Online button to the right of the dropdown list.

        For the TCN Teen gift card, it should be okay, but I cannot verify this myself. However, I’d be surprised if you could not swap TCN Teen gift cards for JB Hi-Fi gift cards online.

      Some jb hifi rep dont like the ideal of swiping 10-20 card at one transaction and they legally can refuse to redeem it, however, its not the case with the jb hifi gift card

      The TCN gift cards in this deal are EFTPOS gift cards, so it cannot directly support any online transactions. The online gift card exchange is a way of (indirectly) redeeming these EFTPOS gift cards online at some of the participating retailers.

      Keep in mind that some people don’t live anywhere near a JB Hi-Fi store, but they live near a Woolworths, so being able to exchange TCN gift cards for JB Hi-Fi gift cards without having to visit a JB Hi-Fi store is ideal. Two examples:

      • Armidale (NSW) is about 110km from the nearest JB Hi-Fi store in Tamworth (NSW), but there is a Woolworths in Armidale.

      • Ulverstone (TAS) is about 120km from the nearest JB Hi-Fi store in Launceston (TAS), but there is a Woolworths in Ulverstone.

      Another reason is that JB Hi-Fi could leave (or be kicked out of) the TCN gift card program without any prior warning.

    10 per transaction. FFS. 5 card limit per person is actually GOOD. Then we can all get some instead of a few hoarders. Coles regulation through flybuys ain't perfect (multiple flybuys cards; flybuys points actually suck) but it's a lot fairer

      At a jb checkout. I've had success 2 of 3 times.

      If they say no, tell them it's only jb gift cards can't be used to buy jb gift cards (something to do with fraud)

    Oh sorry for what might be obvious - can I confirm 100% that if I get 8 x $100 HER gift cards, I can convert them to 8x $100 JB gift cards, then use these online to make a single $800 purchase at JB?

    My recollection is that JB didn't allow multiple gift cards but wookies comment above suggests they've removed that limit?
