Spend Targeted Amount Each Week for 3 Weeks & Receive up to 6,000 Bonus Points @ Coles

410

Spend $X each week for 3 weeks to collect 1,000 then 2,000 then 3,000 points respectively; after activating offer. Unlike Woolworths you need to make prior week's shop to unlock that week's bonus (not clear about missing out on week 1 and having access to week 3 if you make required spend in week 2).

E.g. spend $30, $80, etc.

There might be additional bonus if all shops done online.

Looks like a change in format or addition offer structure for Coles.

  • I got this offer, but with a bonus 3000 points if I complete the shops online (1000 per shop).

    • Same.

This offer of $100 each week, isn't very good compared to 10k for 4 x $50 shops weekly

    • They just sent me an offer that can stack. 2500 points if I spend $170 this Wednesday to Friday. Given my usual spends are $50-60… I don't think that's happening.

  • +2

Half the stuff I want to buy are out of stock at my local Coles.

  • +6

    Wow got spend $30 each week get 2K 3K 5K $90 for $50 back

    • Same!!
Woolies last week had to spend $460 over 2 weeks to get $50

    • I received same spend $90 back $50 nice deal

    • lucky, my offer is $100 *3 spend and got 1k,2k,3k points. not good enough.

  • +2

    $140 each week, no thanks

  • WOW I have spent $80 each week for 2 weeks for $20 of pts .
I'm surprised I thought they shut shop with the current rush .

  • +1

Was in the top 3% of flybuys earners in my suburb last year thanks to the unbelievable deals…. Not going to get there this year with this shite.

    • The deals aren’t the only thing that’s unbelievable!

    • Can you share the unbelievable deal?

    • Yeap its a bloody shame losing Hero status .

  • +2

$130 for 3 weeks to get $30 worth of points… Nah, they can do better.
I'll just use some more of my 330k points for a bit, or shop at Woolies until they offer something worthwhile.

    • +1

How did you get so many woolies points?

      • +1

Flybuys… We swap to Woolies (EDR) if they have something decent going. And it gives FB a kick up the @$$ to offer better incentives again.

But just taking advantage of most bonus point offers, and occasionally stacking where possible. Like this one:
1000 points for your first week's shop (as listed here), plus I've also got a 2,000 bonus point offer for $140 spend by Tues. Plus there's a few random points on certain products. If we're struggling to spend the amounts on req'd products, we'll buy a few extra 1/2 price specials for things that don't really go off… like cereal, etc.
Liquorland is another good one, usually offering a few points for $50 spends.
If only they'd had Bunnings and Officeworks on board for the past 5-10 years… We'd easily have doubled that!!! 🤣

  • +3

I received 10k point on $30 spend over three time spend nice👍

    • 55%, greatest Coles discount?!!

      • +3

        100% for shoplifters…

Sadly no Flybuys points accrued, though :-(

  • +2

(not clear about missing out on week 1 and having access to week 3 if you make required spend in week 2)

No. They've had this set up in the past.
To qualify for Week 2 you must meet the criteria in Week 1. Likewise to qualify for Week 3 you must've first met criteria in Weeks 1 & 2 first.
And it does clearly state: "…each week for 3 weeks!"

Off topic, I had accumulated a fair amount of flybuys points using such offers and was able to convert them to flybuys dollars. But I just came back from coles and it didn’t look like the guy serving me at self service had any idea how to use it.
Finally he just asked me if I had the physical flybuys card, which I obviously didn’t have (who has one these days anyways), to which he said then unfortunately I can’t use my flybuys dollars.
Anyone knows how to use it?

    • +8

You need to swipe the physical flybuys card.

    • +1

I'd say the majority of flybuys users have a physical card. Why would you presume otherwise?

      • +1

I have stopped carrying physical cards since they are more handy to use via app. But each to their own i guess. Now based on all the replies above, I will probably have to look for my physical card, hope I haven’t chucked it in the bin or I am not sure if I can request a physical one.

        • +1

Just ask for a replacement card to be sent to you; easy

    • +5

the guy serving me at self service

      So… you?

  • $120/week this time, no thank you :)

  • $320 a week for me

  • $270 a week for me…. no thanks

  • $90 per week for me. No thanks, never ever spend anything like that.

  • $110 a week for me

  • Laughs in same deal but 10,000 bonus points

  • mine is online only

  • +1

$60 each week for 3 weeks for a return of 6000 bonus points.

Simply not worth it when my local Coles is out of stock on all the good stuff.

  • 100 per week, plus shop online for me

  • +1

I'm a bit dark about these promotions at the moment when stock isn't available.

I missed out on the last "Spend $160 every week for three weeks to get a discount" promotion as the last week was an online Click and Collect order, and the amount of items out of stock brought my total to below $150 when I ordered over $180 worth.

    • +1

I've found in similar situations that I could fix the problem by calling Flybuys and explaining that I failed to make the spend criterion purely because out of stock items were not delivered. Admittedly though those were for delivery orders and the offer was "Spend $X four weeks in a row to get X bonus flybuys points" rather than click and collect to get a discount. But they did credit my bonus points in full.

    • +1

      Contact flybuys via facebook messenger.
Eventually they will ask for a copy of the original order invoice and you should get the points credited manually.

    • I email them and attach a copy of the order. It takes about 2 weeks but has never failed and you do not need to spend over 30 min on hold. OOS can work to your advantage as the discount % ends up being greater.

  • Whatever happened to the 10,000 points?

  • $30 a week for me, still need another offer to stack with in the first week in order to get me over the line though

  • I got $30 every week for 3 weeks to get 6000 points back . Not bad

    • I got this plus up to 3000 points for online order. However, the minimum online order for delivery or pick up is $50 unless you use rapid which costs $5.

      • Had this gone up? I thought minimum for click and collect was $30?

        • Woolies is $30. I think Coles has always been $50 and only recently $30 for Rapid which costs $5.

    • SAME here.
I spent $30 on week 1 per the advertised promo but today i checked in flybuys account - offer disappear.
Could you please check your flybuys and revert?
Could be they canceled the offer without notice for the rest of the week despite we have competed week 1.

      • Its not in my offers anymore too . But i got the 1000 points for last week credited . Did you

        • Same, i got the point last week but not sure if i need to do week 2 and week 3 since the office is no longer visible in the flybuys.
What do you think? Are you planning to shop this week any time soon?

          • @BTS OT7: Yes im doing my $30 shop tomorrow and i will let you know what happens

        • You need to continue with your weekly shops.

      • I don't think they have cancelled it . Sometime when i got the $50 spend each week offer that would disappear in my account too

  • -1

Too much, and over several weeks… but after I miss a couple like this they seem to panic and send a real bargain.

  • +1

    10000 for 3x$30. Noice!

    • Fantastic. Over 50% off.

  • $80 for 3 weeks :(

  • 120 a week. Hmmm pass.

  • I never get any of these deals anymore. Last time I had an offer was over 6months ago. Clearly something is wrong right? I accumulate points every week and recently cashed out close to $300 worth of points. Is there a way to start getting these offers again?

    • Stop spending every week, this is an offer to get people back into store

      • Make sense. We tap the card religeously

    • Open a new account.

    • How did you recently accumulate $300 worth of points without receiving any flybuys offers?

      • Pretty much been tapping every time we go to the shops. Groceries, Kmart, petrol etc for the last 2-3yrs. I noticed the offers stopped coming in a while ago but couldn't be bothered cos I thought it was an issue with my app or something

        • Yeah but you get sweet f… all points for regular purchases unless you are getting bonus offers. At least 95% of my points earned come from bonus offers

  • Spend $110 for 3 weeks to get 6000pts. No thanks. Why would I commit to buying $360 worth of their product to get a 8.33% discount? Dream on. Way better deals out there.

  • Any idea if a store credit (on my coles account), can be used to meet spend on these offers?

    • +1

I have done this. Store credit is a payment method and does not impact on earning points. But maybe ask them on their facebook page.

      • TY, was out of curiosity. Need to spend the Store credit anyhow, so will give it a try in this promo.

        • +1

Please come back and confirm so we can add to the knowledge base of our wonderful community.

  • Curious, how much do most people spend on groceries every week? Always assumed the average is about $75pp per week. Not sure where I got that random figure

    • Of course, it depends on how many people are in your household and how frugal or not you are. If you hang out at Supermarkets and watch the trolleys I think you will see it a lot more.

  • Haven't shopped at Coles for a couple of months, had to use Woolies rewards(Christmas savings) last month . I usually get spend $80-90 for * offers back then, now spend $30 for *.
Stop shopping at Coles and go to Woolies and aldi if your spend $*** is too big to make worthwhile.

    • Or open a new account.

  • Did anyone else get a bonus spend over $50 for 1000pts? expires within 3 days

  • As per earlier discussion, Yola
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/11646782/redir

Confirming that yes, I was able to get the bonus flybuys by using store credit on my Coles Online account

    • Great, thank you.

    • Thanks for update.
Can you use flybuys dollars and get bonus as well, does anyone know?

      • I have used Flybuys dollars as a payment method and still received bonus points and qualified for the weekly spend

      • Yes you can.

  • +1

I received an offer to get a total of 10,000 points for spending $30 a week over 3 weeks. The offer has been cancelled after i did the first weeks qualifying spend. Pretty annoyed by this.

    • +2

No, the offer will be back in your account on Wednesday if you made a qualifying purchase last week, and the disappearance of it does not affect you make a qualifying purchase today.

If you are still not convinced, check your account after 10am on Wednesday.

      • ah ghats good looks like i didnt get it bac

        • +1

I just checked as I did shop last week. It may appear after noon. You'll also receive email.

As a side note, if an account had the similar offer last week and receives a new offer on Tuesday, it means there is no qualifying purchase made. In other words, the account did not receive new offer on Tuesday had a qualified purchase last week.

    • Have never had such an offer canceled. Did they email you? If it just disappeared, this happens all the time. I always take a sc of the activated offer just in case of issues only had to use it once.

    • Exactly same situation with me with the same promo. But mine is "promo cancelled" under the transaction of my 5x stacked bonus points. Still got 120 for it and the 2000. The 2000 activity doesn't say cancelled though. But the offer is gone from my list of offers.

      • +2

"promo cancelled" is under the 5x pts for any purchase in my account. I think it is a wrong description.

The offer like 4 weeks shop is always disappearing on Monday and Tuesday in the past, but it does not affect your shopping on the first two days.

    • SAME here.
I spent $30 on week 1 per the advertised promo but today i checked in flybuys account - offer disappear.
Question: how do you know that the offer has been cancelled? Did you call customer service?

Could be they canceled the offer without notice for the rest of the week despite we have competed week 1.

    • I can't see the offer on my account anymore too..

But I did my second $30 spend on Monday and got the points for the second week of the promo..
