Bosch 7.5kg Front Loader Washing Machine (WAS24460AU) for $1078 at The Good Guys

50

Just bought a Bosch front loader after a fair bit of research. This model is made in China and a step down from the 8kg Bosch models made in Germany, which were too expensive for us (one is $1500 and the other is $2500). The Bosch models below the model we bought are from Thailand.

It comes with 2 yr warranty but we extended it for another 3 yrs for $149.

The cheapest price online I found was $1147 plus delivery (http://www.appliancesonline.com.au/75kg-front-load-bosch-was…) but we wanted to go local.

Apparently the Samsung, LG and Electrolux front loaders are pretty good value too but from my research, Bosch seems to have a good reputation so we spent a bit extra. Hopefully the gamble pays off.

Bosch lists RRP as $1249 (appliancesonline.com.au list it as $1399 for some reason)

Anyway, I know it's not a huge discount but a good price nonetheless and thought it could help someone in the OzBargain community.

Cheers

  • I have the 7.5kg version of this:

I've had it for about a year (got it from The Good Guys) and it's been perfect.

  • thanks for posting the deal, there appears to be lots of Bosch deals on the forum lately!

My last two experiences have saved a further 10% after I found my best price online.

    • Do they do electronics like the iPad?

  • Don't know how the models compare and it's 1 kg less but this is half the price:

    • Thanks. We saw the 6.5kg and 7kg range. They're the models made in Thailand.

We were leaning towards them but wanted a machine that was a little bigger. Also, the Thailand models don't have a child lock which we need!

  • Be wary.
Unless you are in a metro area (I think they consider 25kms from city).
Bosch WILL NOT pay for postage for any warranty claims.

If you are country/bush and your washing machine breaks, and they don't have techs in the area, they won't even pay 1-direction for you.

    Other then that; good products.

  • it is great machine. i bought the small size one 6.5Kg and it works great and very clean
