Seems to be a pretty decently specced phone for the price. Also the same price at the offical realme Australia store. I also thinks it's the cheapest new phone at this price point with 8gb of ram.

Specs:
120hz
8gb ram + 128gb storage
Snapdragon 855+
4200 mAh battery with 30w fast charging
gsm arena: https://www.gsmarena.com/realme_x3_superzoom-10250.php

Official realme australia store: https://shop.realme.net.au/collections/phones/products/realm…

Specs seem to indicate that this phone will still be able to hold its own for a solid 2 years.

  • Amazon title very confuse "32GB"

    • Yeah, idk why they put that there. For anyone wondering it does indeed come with 8gb of ram and 128gb of storage. It says in the product description, and also on the offical realme Australia store which has the phone for the same price.

Seems they confused 32MP camera with 32gb storage.

      • seems so +1

      • 32MP selfie

  • 32gb or 128gb of storage?

    • +1

      8gb ram and 128gb storage.

According to https://www.realme.com/au/support/software-update the last update was almost a year ago:
    Version:
    RMX2081PU_11.A.51
    Update log
    Release time:
    16/03/2021

God knows what kind of support this Realme has.

Tbh I feel like that is the case with the majority of budget to mid range smartphones. And for $299 it's not too bad for the price. Cheers

    • Only drawback I can see. Over time will break the deal, along with semi-dated CPU.

Hey, currently got the phone, it’s on android 11 update 2021.11.12 RMX2086_11_C.10 November security patch. Looks like website is outdated

You will only find the final UI 1.0 update for download on that page.

For the spec its a bargain if the "spec is correct ".

I've included the offical specs from gsm arena and the offical product page, feel free to take a look. Cheers!

Bought a Realme 8 for under $300 a few months ago and it's a bloody unreal phone.

5G, VOLTE and VOWIFI works over Boost / Telstra, NFC and B28 700mhz. Running Android 11.

  • Spec-by-spec comparison with comparably priced AliExpress competition (Poco F3): https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=10250&idPhone…

    • Please show me where I can buy the poco f3 for $299 +- 10%.

      • I was meaning in the same price range / target market.

        • I understand your point but the cheapest you can get the poco f3 is currently ~$375. That is a 25% premium when you're only intending to spend $299.

          • +1

@hellousyd: If you look at the specs, it shows that this phone has some better specs compared to the Poco, such as camera setup.

            • +2

@scaryspace: Fair enough. Sorry for the passive aggressive tone before.

          • +1

@hellousyd: It's more comparable to the X3 Pro tbh.

  • Is it in-screen fingerprint sensor?

    • +2

      Side.

Got the 12GB+256GB one for $399 about 7 months ago.

Also there is a case come with it.

"Consumers Told To Throw Away Chinese Smartphones"

but yes the price is quite appealing

  • Android 11

  • Anyone got this phone, any feedback?

    • I got it from JB hifi about November 2020. It's good overall and I'm happy with what I paid for. It might be hard to look for its accessories for now as it's outdated for the market.

  • i got one in one of the last deals
    great phone with one exception

the screen scratches fairly easily and doesnt seem to have as tough glass as well pretty much every other phone i have had
its the only phone i would actually get one of those stick on screen protectors for

    • I scratched mine as well.

      • +1

        So no pre installed protector?

        • +1

          No.

        • Mine came with a plastic screen protector already installed out of the box.

          • @mainbreak: That is what I thought , all phone nowadays have a plastic one installed.

    • +1

Weird it's suppose to have Gorilla Glass 5.

  • White one is available on ebay for the same price whereas on Amazon its $200 more for the white phone

  • OOS now

    https://shop.realme.net.au/products/realme-x3-superzoom?vari…

Same price on Realme site, for both colours

    • Cheers picked one up from here instead

  • this or Iphone 8 refurbished

    • +3

apple or android depends on what ecosystem you like more than the phone itself in 99% of situations
      that said

i have both - realme for personal phone and iphone 8 for work phone
      id pick realme every time

  • Spend the extra $100 and get the 12GB/256GB variant? Hmm…

  • +3

Also on realme AU ebay store, $285 with ebay plus codes at the moment.

Awesome bang for buck and looks like a better buy than the popular Poco X3 Pro if you're not into custom roms:
    ~Same CPU
    similar screen
local stock with warrenty, not grey import from banggood
    telephoto camera
ColourOS is generally better than MemeUI
a bit less heavy and bulky

Also there's plenty reports of the X3 Pro hard bricking itself requiring motherboard replacement to fix

    • Its hard to say if 90% of the hard brick units are the Indian variant.

But, I agree this was amazing bang for buck deal…

  • Farkkkkkk already ordered and shipped the F3 POCO for $375

    • F3 AMOLED screen, so feel better?

      • Haha

  • If I hadn't already ordered F3

  • Anyone else get realme buds air wireless headphones with their X3 order, not sure if I got someone else's by mistake? I ordered from realme directly and just bought the $299 128gb version.

Also on the box I noticed what looks like a manufacturing date 2020.06.03 and my battery was completely dead, implying that the phone sat in a warehouse for 18 months! Hope the battery is still good, I'm guessing the old build date is behind the heavy discounting?
