Fantastic, needed some new boots. Anyone know how the sizing runs on these? I've gone with 44EU which they equate to 10.5 AU… which is so weird when some 45EU I have are supposedly 10 AU

People wear boots when hiking to support ankles from twists and excessive loading from flex. But hiking boots would have rugged tread for grip and sometimes water resistant or sealed.
You could hike in these boots but I think they would be slippery and water ingress is likely. For light hikes and occasions, sure.

Really? There are dozens of honest reviews like the one below. You can’t reasonably think these are fake reviews can you?
’I have had the Country Road Joshua Boot for over two years, wearing it fairly constantly most week days to work. The quality has stood the test of time and boot just got better with age. The leather upper and lining is as good as the day I bought it, only softer and more supple. The sole is showing signs of wear as you would expect after two years of heavy use, but has held up well and is still solidly attached to the upper. I recently purchased a replacement boot as my current pair will eventually wear out. Great boot highly recommended.’
Sane unusual phrases & grammar used by multiple "different" users, same size, multiple 5 star ratings on same date etc.
Any product with overwhelming top rating & very few with even one star less, doesn't look like normal distribution spread.
Not saying all are fake, but IMHO enough there to smell like red flags for me.

Hopefully, somebody in this thread that purchased, will post a review here once they receive them. I put more trust in the rigours of the peer review you get from OzB and Whirlpool forums than I do reviews on a seller's website.
Same size: I see a range of sizes
Same date: There are no reviews on the same day
Normal distribution: if it’s a good product, why would you expect one star reviews?
There is nothing to suggest the reviews are fake. Certainly doesn’t deserve a neg for a mere suspicion.@Phil22: YMMV!
Quality claimed in reviews and what I see in photos, also a mismatch IMHO (your opinion may however differ).
From my experience of buying shoes and reviews on websites of companies like CR, Trenery, Rivers etc. that you should take the reviews with a large grain of salt.

I also don’t always trust reviews. However there’s nothing here to suggest they’re fake, particularly since I’ve refuted your arguments. I don’t believe it’s reasonable to immediately assume, given the high ratings, that the reviews are fake. Is it not possible that the shoes are genuinely good?
I don’t have the boots, neither do you. Therefore, unless you’re confident that they’re fake reviews, the comment and neg is totally unjustified
@Phil22: You haven't refuted, simply disagree with my assessment, which is no skin off my nose.
By the same token you can't establish they are real.
I have shoes from CR & similar companies, for similar sale price range, that are reasonable bang for buck, but have a quality mismatch in real world compared to reviews on seller's site. There are patterns in several of the reviews that raise a red flag for me.
I am simply pointing out that the claims about quality & authenticity of reviews should be taken with a large grain of salt.
We therefore have just come to different conclusions & are both entitled to our own opinion.
