I agree when talking about value for money sure. Just really want an 85" though and I've got the prized price protection Coles Mastercard so can claim future price reductions as well. The jump in prices between 75" and 85" will gradually close just like they have been between 65" and 75".

  • Samsung frame has the most lame software in the TV industry.
For a long time it did not even have a mode to rotate arts. And when it finally did, the software patch abandoned all the previous year models even it’d be just a simple firmware update.

Its also a pain to upload your own photos to the TV. The iOS app was flaky as hell.

Not sure how things are now in 2022 but I have no faith in Samsung.

      NVIDIA box

  • Very tempted by this but feel like 75” is too big for my room, I have access to EPP too but unfortunately out of stock on there. Decisions….

    • dw OOS

      • +1

Still in stock with JB, only OOS with the EPP?

    • The frame would make the set bigger too right? Or am I missing something here..

Edit - I see it now. I thought the inset portion of the frame was physical too.

This or the Sony x85j 75"

    • +1

These 2 reviews might help you, and the scores for both TVs are very similar in most aspects:
      https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x85j
      https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/the-frame-2021

I usually preferred Sony, because majority of my media entertainment systems are Sony. But this Samsung has a separate One Box to connect HDMI cables / Network cable, etc. So I have chosen Samsung The Frame because of the ability to hide majority of connected cables.

      • +1

        Is that power as well

        • +1

Yes, power cable is also connected through One Box. Only 1 clear/silver colour cable needed between One Box and the TV. The One Box component can be hidden inside a cabinet or somewhere else. This design helps the TV to keep its thickness to be less than 3cm.

      • Does it come included with it’s own framing kit?

  • "Posing"? This ain't a life drawing class dude

  • T.T this is exactly what I was after. Size and everything but just a little too early… Settlement & move in is still a few months out…

    • +2

      Buy now, concern later

    • +3

Buy and don’t open box until move

    • +1

yeah, same thought when i was moving, decided to wait, got even cheaper, now cheaper, its TV, just take your time.
Eseentially saved $400, but not could of spend extra 300 to get 75!

    • Thanks, everyone for your input. Yes, I thought of FOMO but in reality, I still don't know exactly how the place will look. Will wait as I don't know what curve ball bank may throw at me.

      • Always a good odea deferring purchases imo!

  • On stock again through Westpac rewards.
    $1984 it is

    • whats westpac rewards?
is it available to anyone with westpac account? or do you need to sign up etc

      • Find the samsung link in offers&rewards in your Westpac online banking app.

      • think you need a credit card with them - I have a home loan with Westpac and no westpac rewards (only JB solutions)

Sometimes I wish Ozbargain had feature of Thumbs up and Thumbs down for specific bargains and this would have been one I would vote for. Besides many useful information, lot of rubbish comments around, making it impossible to judge if a deal is good or not. It's more becoming Facebook comments section!!

If you don't have anything to share about the deal is good or not, please stay away from the keyboard!!

    Nearly 100 comments…For F*** sake!

  • just got access to the government epp and it looks like its 2184 on there too, 2096 must have been a price error

Anyone have any experience with the JB Hi-fi price guarantee? OP specifically mentions 30 days after purchase, however I just contacted the store and they said it is 21 days after purchase. Couldn't find any info on the length of time it's offered.

    • I contacted JB Hi-Fi by phone a few times and had a similar experience as you, with one even claiming only a 14-day price guarantee. I ended up getting my Boxing Day purchase price guaranteed when I didn't specifically mention a 30-day price guarantee. I said that I noticed an advertised price lower than the original recent purchase price and asked if they could do anything. The $200 refund was processed the same day to my credit card. Good luck!

      • +1

ahhh beggar. Na this store seemed to be quite clued in - I never mentioned the date, their first question to me was 'when did you purchase it?', I even spoke to the online team and they spouted different days not dissimilar to your experience. I only paid an extra $55 dollars compared to this price. Going to have to wear it, though a tough pill to swallow! They really should put the amount of days on their website. Awesome you got yours honoured.

  • Anyone been able to successfully use the $50 marketing opt-in voucher purchasing on the samsung website?

    • I was just trying to obtain the code for that now to see if it works- signed up with my work and gmail but no code arrived yet though… let us know if you have any success. I feel it may say there's already one discount applied and be invalid..

      • Ive got a working code from a previous deal that I never ended up using… works on other things but doesnt look like its working on this.

Also FYI each time Ive received the $50 code it was only after emailing them to say it never came. They blame it on your email provider and supply one - usually within 1-2 days.

        • I contacted live chat and they said they will 'escalate it' but it takes 24 hours at a minimum. Probably will sell out before then and likely give an error anyway.

    • I bought through the Samsung Gov Store, managed to get the $200 off and had an old $50 voucher that worked, brought my total to $1934.00.
Hope it's a good buy, have had an Aldi tv for 5 years, can't wait to see the difference!

  • im going to see if jbhifi will price match the $1984 and try get some 10% off gift cards from woolworths. Wish me luck!

    • how do you get 10% off gift cards for JB from woolies?

      • +1

        $100 tcn her gift cards

        • Nice, are these 10% off in store at woollies?

          • +1

@beerbudget: Yep sure are just picked up a bunch

            • +1

@david6509: Well done, how did you go at JB? I've rung a few different stores and they won't go near $1984.

Even tried Harvey Norman (as they have stock locally), they reckon their cost is over $3k!! But they still will sell them as advertised for $2295.

              • +3

@beerbudget: LMAO! cost at 3k. i hate these (profanity) bullshitters

              • @beerbudget: I had sucess. The funny thing was the 75 sold out just as I was showing the guy on my phone the $1984 price. He did have to ask his manager as he couldn't see the same price on his computer or phone. Stacked with the 10% off gift cards and a few left over 15% ones from last year. Also forgot to mention they didn't give me free delivery but I'm lucky I had a ute that could fit it.

    • Good luck, please post a receipt if you manage to get one!

Geez I just bought from Samsung a month ago. Does anybody know if they do partial refunds or store credits if we call and whine?

  • What is the difference between The Frame and normal QLED?

    • the difference is the 'look' - think it's approximately between the Q60 & Q70

      • think it's approximately between the Q60 & Q70

So in that case still mid to low end

  • +1

Any JBHIFI staff in Sydney who can price match me at 1869-1984.

    • Call me maybe

      • let me know if this works ;)

  • +1

Just bought 85 inches for $3320 + $299 premium installation from EPP. Jb couldn't match.
Still having mixed feelings 🤞 after reading and watching couple of reviews.

Just in case if it's not up to the expectations in terms of picture clarity - Has anyone returned TV to Samsung? Is it free return, like they will collect or we need to bear the cost?

    • +1

Wow from what I can see the 85" is ~3.8K. How do you add premium installation? Has the 75" also been removed from your EPP? I just noticed they removed the stock alerts and also the price on the public page…

      • +1

75" is out of stock it says but the stock alert button is still there on EPP.
Once you check out you will see three options to select
        1. Standard road delivery - Free
        2. Standard delivery + installation - Free
        3. Premium installation wall mount (large TVs) - $299

        • +1

ah nice thanks, I see it now! hope it's good!

    • +1

      WOW! 3320? is that a typo? i see 3600

      • +1

Not sure. The actual invoice says subtotal 3220 and premium installation and delivery 299. Total 3619 I paid.

        • I'm still trying to work out how you got this price! I'm getting $3800, but this is through the edu portal so that kught be why I'm not seeing the same discount?

    • 85 inch led with no FALD is going to have really washed out blacks. If you have never seen an OLED you probably won't notice. Having said that, it's a big screen so will be immersive. Enjoy your new TV

      • That's the worry - the cloudiness, missing self-dimming and highlight pop-ups + no Dolby vision.
Hope it's more of on paper technical stuff and not that noticeable difference in day-to-day use.

  • Anyone able to get this for the $1984 anywhere now. Should I wait for more stock at Samsung?

    • Nope - I hope it comes back into stock on the Samsung site.

    Ordered 75" Frame for $1984 (6hours ago)
    Delivery in Feb.

  • Unfortunately I had a 75" in my cart with samsung now they've removed the whole product, I tried to add an 85" and go to cart but it now says ERROR: 500 - INTERNAL SERVER ERROR
Uh oh, looks like something has gone wrong, sorry!

Seems I have no way to remove it from my cart to stop the error :(

Managed to get it for $2021 from my local jbhifi today. Delivery tommorow plus they threw in the rubbish 5 year care plan warranty thing. So probably could have got it a tad cheaper but still happy with the price since Samsung is still OOS and delivery is Feb for Samsung

    • +2

I would surely like to do that also, Could you share how you did it? receipt and magical words n stuff?

      • +1

        +1

    • Can you please share the receipt.
      Thanks

Back in stock at Samsung Store, run everyone!

  • So…. I need a TV in July and wanted the Frame tv. Should I get this now and leave it in the box for 6 months or just wait??

  • Finally bit the bullet. $1869

    • how did you get it for 1869?? It shows for me in the Samsung store as $2184, -$200 so $1984. Minus $50 samsung voucher. I wonder if different employers/places have different pricing with Samsung.? Is it $1869 via the education site?

      • Hi mate. I work with the CBA group.

        • do you have a high yield investment car to prove?

          • @ntt: Yes. Segway Scooter. No I'm not in NSW. 😁

  • +1

the 75" is back in the samsung store also confirmed the $50 newsletter code works for it. $1,934.00 in total with the code.

  • Is anyone buying additional frames to go with this, or is the basic/standard a black frame that goes around it included in the box?

    • Just went with Black as that will match best with my other stuff in the living room.

      • Black comes standard out of the box?

        • Yes it does

  • Frame Tv any good for a brightly lit room? Would love to hear from those who have one. My concern would be the glare. Or should I wait for the 2022 model which I assume rectifies this issue?

    • +1

rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/the-frame-2021 have a look at this

  • Saw back in stock with Samsung EPP for $1869 delivered.
Have a bunch of JB vouchers I wanted to use though so called the price match line… they couldn’t get to $1869 but met me in the middle at $2080. Bit the bullet at that.

  • +1

I finally bit the bullet and bought it. I can't access EPP for $1869 for some reason though, my employer login only comes up as $1984 after the $200 discount for some reason…but then I had another $50 off due to the sign up to mailing list and get $50 off purchases $350 or more. So end total price $1934 with free delivery….looking forward to it!

  • Thanks for posting this, with the $50 newsletter was able to pick it up for $1,819.00 via the Samsung EPP

  • Has anyone that bought thru JB got a delivery notification yet?

I bought it from them last Friday, the confirmation email said they'd contact me within 48 hours. Nothing yet, I even rang and contacted thru online help, but not heard anything back from JB.

    • Delivery tomorrow. $1900 thru JB HiFi

  • Can someone check what's the size of each each slim fit wall mount that comes with it. Trying to figure out if I will be able to mount it on stud or not.

    • Go to YouTube and search “Samsung Frame 2021 Install” and you will find a bunch of videos showing the mount and how to mount it on walls.

  • I looked around everywhere because Samsung could only offer delivery next week but it seems to be gone everywhere else so I went with the Samsung store for 1984.

  • Anyone else's Samsung $50 off email take an absolute age to come through?

    • I'm still waiting 4 days on :P

      • yeah I gave up and just bought it in case they ran out!

        • email them straight away and say it didn't arrive, they will send you a manual one.

    • I had an old unused voucher and received a new one yesterday, neither voucher are working for me on this TV
