If you have access to the EPP, it’s $2069

    https://ibb.co/PZC9cK6

  • +1

Also on sale for a bit less on the Samsung partner portal, if you can access via your work ($2069 and free delivery). And an additional $200 off deal running this month.

    • what's the $200 deal? or did you include that in the 2069

      • -1

He might included that in 2022

        • +1

no it is 1869 at checkout on epp, i was confused because i have epp but not from the enhanced epp or whatever they call it (ama workplace)

      • additional $200 off deal for spending $1200 on certain stuff, added automatically in cart, saving a further $200.
I opted for the Q60A in the end, $1599 sounded reasonable.
No issue against the frame, just didn't know much about it.

  • Is it any good for this price or just a gimmick

    • +4

      This is a nice price:
      - for this gimmick
      - if you're after a TV that doesn't look like a TV.

      • +27

a TV that doesn't look like a TV.

can I pay it with a money doesn't look like a money too?

        • +2

          monkey jpegs? probably not.

        • Yea. Buy it with your Crypto card.

    • +1

No FALD is probably the biggest gripe picture quality wise. For most people, it's probably more than good enough

    • +1

For this price it's awesome, I have one, sit's flat against the wall (mount included), pretty responsive samsung apps are limited but has all the local ones like Apple TV (including screenshare) Netflix, prime etc..

    • +1

It does look good. My friend had one at her house hung up on the wall. During the day it really did look like she just had a piece of art hung on the wall. Didn't realise it was a TV.

  • +10

This is the outgoing 2021 model…. The 2022 model has a matte, anti-reflective display/screen, so doesn't have a gloss issue when displaying 'artwork'. Reviews say the 2022 is a better unit but comes at a price!

    • -1

Is The Frame 2022 using mini-LED or MicroLED ?

      • -3

Why would you assume either? It's neither, it's - wait for it - QD-OLED.

        • I'm curious about the negs.

          Isn't it that new QD-OLED?
Was the new Frame announced to have either mini-LED or MicroLED?
Am I confusing technologies? Or something that I said?

It's about practical knowledge to me here, re that TV.

          • +3

@pizzaguy: Probably because it's unlikely the frame will use any kind of OLED. People are buying this for displaying static image is just waiting for burn in to happen with oled.

          • +3

@pizzaguy: Probably because 2022 The Frame is definitely NOT QD-OLED. The only Samsung TV with this tech is aptly name QD-DISPLAY TV and it actually won CES 2022 INNOVATION AWARD. The only other officially announced consumer products are an Alienware monitor and Sony's new flagship A95K. At any rate, QD-OLED will probably demand a premium even over OLED, which is not the same target audience as The Frame. Same story for Micro LED which will most likely cost as much as a house down payment.
I don't think specs are out yet for the The Frame, if we're lucky we may get Mini LED but I doubt it, the frame panel typically sits around the Q60/Q70 series. The only improvement is the Matte Display for anti glare, reflection, fingerprint.

            • +1

@rookie317: I misread this which is about The Frame 2022, but happens to mention a "QD-OLED prototype" in passing. To the reader's confusion. My bad.

Based on this, it is LCD panel. Not sure yet but likely to be VA panel.

    • +1

Agreed waiting for the 2022 model :)

    • I have the 2021 model and it already has a matte screen.. Unless its even more matte.. Its definitely not gloss.

      • How does it handle reflections in a bright room?

      • +1

I have the 2021 model and it already has a matte screen.. Unless its even more matte.. Its definitely not gloss.

Based on the 'example' from Samsung, the 2021 model has glare issues, while the 2022 version of The Frame deploys an anti-reflective panel that is described as "glare free". Scroll down for a exmaple between the two.

    $2184 on the education store

    • +5

Even better than that, the $200 discount applies only when you put it in your cart. I just bought one for $1984, pretty happy with that.

      • +1

Also has free shipping, so same as JB in that regard.

      • +2

        $1984

Can Big Brother see you through this TV?

    • +5

Yup. Just ordered 1. Came down to $1984 after the $200 spend and save discount.

      • +3

how do you get this price? Keen to get one. Thanks

  • Those are some very thick bezels.

    • +1

The bezel is the dark frame. The white part is a digital frame for artwork.

    • Thick is better apparently.

      • +2

        Thick is better

A wife's friend of mine confirmed

        • +4

Please pass on her details for further confirmation

          • @MuddyClear:

Please pass on her details for further confirmation

            you meant inspection?

        • +2

          A wife's friend of mine

          Polygamist?

    • +6

Those are some very thick bezels.

Have you seen the Mona Lisa? The bezels on that are off the charts…

      • Then why does she look so grumpy? Strange…

      • yeah, she's a bit thick. Confirmed

    • That would be The Frame…product name checks out.

  • +2

How do you get access to the Samsung partner portal?

  • How is the quality for this over the LG 77 OLED?

    • +1

LG is infinitely better unless you have reasons to avoid OLED.

    • +1

I'm lucky enough to have both the LG 77 OLED and a 65" Samsung Frame. They are in different rooms for different purposes. The Frame is excellent, but it's not in the same league as the C1.

FYI - I paid $2k for a 65", so this is a great deal for a 75" inch if you need that size. :)

      • I too have the exact same TVs, and can concur the frame is not in the same league. For what the Samsung is, it’s really nice. I wanted something in our bedroom which didn’t look like a TV and it fits the bill perfectly.

The only downside is our bedroom gets a lot of sun, so the glare on the artwork lets it down. I’d be curious to see what the new matte screens look like, and whether a set of film exists which can be retrofitted to the outgoing model without deteriorating the image.

    • They are totally different thing.
LG OLED will offer you better experience overall. However, this one wins aesthetically. I personally don't watch and gaming on TV a lot so this will be my choice. If you use TV a lot then OLED might your thing. If you want both, I think G1 is the one you should buy.

    • This is a regular TV that doubles as an electronic picture frame. Some people just want the best TV and go OLED, others prefer to not have a huge black rectangle in their living space and go for the Frame.

      • Or "The Serif"

  • 43" Frame none available :-(

  • Can anyone here advise whether the 75" Frame in Australia it is IPS (or similar) or VA? Samsung use different panel types for the 'same' model in different markets and even different sizes of the same model. Makes me a bit hesitant.

    • Most likely VA panel used in 75" inch The Frame.

  • hoyl shit so cheap! hearing education store even cheaper is amazing, i got mine during boxing day, 65'' for 1.6k, its the best thing i ever set up, as i was going for the 'frame' effect, everyone comes over loves it.

i would of gotten the 75'' at 1.9k holy!

    • Why dont you sell your 65 to me and get the 75 lol

      • sure, 2117 postcode, if you are near. its brand new

  • $2,299 @ Samsung site, less $50 with newsletter subscription, same price with JB :)

  • +1

$1,984 through Samsung partner portal - Westpac customers can access through rewards and offers. Seems to be valid through to end Jan.

    • +2

Got jbhifi to price match it to $1984, combined with 5% off vouchers. got the tv for $1884. So stoked. Free delivery too.

      • Awesome deal! Could you upload a screenshot of the $1984 price displayed on EPP? I want to try this too but don't have access to EPP.

        • +7

I just played dumb and told them Samsung is offering it for this much. He then loaded it up on his work pc and the price was different. Then I told him you need to login and add to cart. He told me to login. I just secretly logged into Student store on my phone and showed him the cart. He glanced and scrolled for 30 mins before approving it. He was too focussed on selling me extended warranty to which i declined right at the end and told him I ll be paying with vouchers.

          • @Aap Ke Papa: Cheers, and very well played. Hopefully I have similar success tomorrow!

            • +1

@fvn: I would suggest call ahead and get a pre-approval on the phone talking to the sales guy. Try a few stores nearby if you dont get lucky at one store. Just be honest that Samsung is selling for this much, can you do it? I ll come and buy right now.

          • @Aap Ke Papa: Any chance you can share a copy of your reciept from jb hifi?

            • @david6509: Do they price match if it's out of stock?

              • @chid: Might price match if someone managed to get one at jbs for this and provide a reciept

          • +4
          • @Aap Ke Papa: hahahaha played dumb alright 😂

      • do you have a receipt

  • Out of stock in Samsung site? Comes up as 'Get email notification' instead of 'add to cart'

    • 75 and 43 are out of stock, others available

      • 65 is priced higher than the 75

    • +1

      75" back in stock now

      • awesome, now to find epp access. i have $50 newsletter codes too now

  • Damn, missed out on EPP deal.

Bought it at 2220 after cashback via JB as I needed this TV and have been waiting for good price for ages.

  • +1

Bought the 85" for $3,884 on the education portal. The price for the 75" is very good though.

    • For a bit more I got the 90” for $4198, which is better value. But yeah the 75” is great for the price

      • +3

You must be talking about a different model or different TV manufacturer entirely? Don't think there are any 90" Samsung TVs.

    • the 85 is a beautiful unit, but i'd rather have 2 75s than 1 85

      • +1

But there will be a line in the middle of the screens
