This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app. Please see the archived thread (January 2017 - January 2022) for previous discussions.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

          Some people suggest they are hardware banning devices. When people made new accounts on phones that used a banned account caused fresh accounts to be banned when trying to apply fuel lock

            @BigPeeper: I tried to register a new account using same device (ios) and it stays in registering account loop (screenshot) after entering email address, and waiting for me to enter email verification code…

              @DonaldJTrump: I am guessing they are blocking devices or IPs to block new registrations. Can someone else check or confirm on this ?

                @DonaldJTrump: We have already confirmed they are banning devices (see previous replies, I believe you'll get error G09), hence the need to reset your device ID between blocks.

    I locked 98 from WA from my chopper and went to fuel up in NSW. no discount. paid full price :( and after 5 minutes lock is gone. what is happening? is it same state thing only now…

    Is it safe to say that same state locks still works? Seeing a lot of interstate locks not working but keen to get some experience from those who had locked from the same state.

      Yes I filled up a week or so ago by locking withing VIC only. So far so good fingers crossed. Still better than no discount IMO.

    No luck setting up new AVD devices. They crash during locking and the 7-Eleven card number is blank.

    Existing AVD devices still work. I can clone them and they still work. If I log out and in with a different account, the same problem occurs.

    Locked interstate WA and redeemed in VIC last week no issue. Waited 3 days in between. Ifakelocation. I used a new dummy account as well.

              So the accounts im using right now are dummy accounts.

                  @BigPeeper: I have a feeling the bans come in waves. If they start banning, then all suspicious locks are flagged. During the previous A01 bans, i have been locking only within the state. I have only just started to trial interstate and it worked.

          Not at all. Same device id since the beginning. Had 3 bans, just kept creating more accounts.

        Did you have to use a VPN to WA to lock in the price? I get A01 error trying to lock in WA price from VIC. Also using ifakelocation with/without Windscribe VPN to WA.

    The price variation is insane again, a 50c/L+ range across metro Sydney. with 7-11 having both one of the lowest and one of the highest prices making the 25c/L discount next to meaningless in many areas.

    As usual, Coles Express leads with being the most expensive

      I just buy 20 buckets of fuel (200L) from 711 when price is at the lowest point(using chopper at $1.6/L). Those fuel could get me through whole fxxking cycle.

        Bear in mind the max amount per transaction/lock is 150L, so you need a second lock

    So does this even work anymore? Because all my methods have failed across multiple softwares/devices. I am not G09 banned, but getting the A01 constantly when trying to lock even within state. Definitely still works if I am actually physically locking, how is everyone else’s’ experience? Any advice on how to get it working again (iOS devices if that helps).

      Worked for me. Locked in interstate and redeemed a couple of hours later. I usually reset device id and new account between locks.

            @gamerkonks: I have done this since the beginning and have not had luck. I wonder if it is because my IP address is under CGNAT and the IP has been flagged from other users locking in.

    I'm using Nox per previous guides and able to get the fuel lock fine but my account gets banned shortly after and fuel lock invalidated.

    Any tips on working choppers now?

    First time flying in about six weeks (as haven't been driving), but about to drive to Sydney in a day or so.

    Locked on Android 13 (rooted) physical phone in (took OzB chopper to QLD) on Friday

    Filled up in VIC on today (Sunday) on Android 14 (not rooted), got discount (was only 8 cents, but 4c cheaper than Coles with discount, and wanted to see what was going to happen for drive to Sydney.

    Locked again on Android 13 back in QLD.

    Will wait and see how we go - plan is to fill up again in Wodonga, which will get us to Sydney.

        OK, I should have said only Reddy Express was 12 cents more expensive than 7-Eleven before discounts if that would have helped.

        You realise that if I'm posting in this thread that I am generally likely to be aware of all available discounts and take advantage of them?

    So I got this all working again on my old note 9, noble rom Android 14, magisk, zygisk, shamiko, play integrity fix, renamed magisk, configured deny list(don't enable in magisk), lsposed(jing matrix), gpssetter. Don't need hide mock location as gpssetter doesn't use mock location setting.

    I'm in QLD. Was able to lock in WA no VPN. However… my partner tried to use it and didn't work, lock disappeared from app. Thought I got banned but was able to relock WA again same account. Staff said interstate lock doesn't work, but t&c's mention you can use locks anywhere in Australia. Also was approximately 4hrs between lock and attempt to use, could be a cause?

    Thoughts? Experiences using interstate locks?

      Try a day apart between use and lock WA/QLD distance.

      Similar (Oneplus5, AOSP, most of the rest of the stack).

      One account G09'd after chopper-ing from QLD to VIC in 24 hours after filling in VIC the previous day. No discount, but pump price was only 3c more than locked price, and the store still credited me with my 7th visit freebie.

      So I think it was the sequence of Lock on Friday in QLD, fill in VIC on Sunday, but because I thought prices might rise, I locked again on Sunday in QLD which wasn't feasible.

      Another account has locked and filled several times successfully - with a couple of days in between each lock and each fill and each subsequent lock.

    Ive given up on these shenanigans and gone the EV route. Had a good run until the Android studio method stopped working and the 25c cap kicked in. Had a fleet of 4 choppers running till then. Thanks all for the fun times.

      Weird. Just managed to lock price locally on my secondary account on same phone, which doesn’t work earlier throwing a01 error. Maybe a bait to force me pay full price after scanning at station.

        Update - secondary account not locked. Successfully scan and paid. Only additional step i did was install app on an android tablet and login. Maybe this step somehow remove the device ban on my iPhone.

    I can no longer lock via chopper/local. I keep getting A01 errors. Can a factory reset or a device ID change fix this?

    Im not sure whats happening, i even tried locking from my phone that i never used to lock and its not working. Could they possibly target IP addresses?

              @BigPeeper: I no longer do interstate locks, there is no advantage to it as the max disc is 25 cents.

              When prices drop, it is always cheaper to go with Coles Express and use the 8 cents discounts as 7/11's near us are nearly always more expensive than competitors these days.

    Just updated Play Integrity Fix to v17.5 and now it won't load with the error 'Module not loaded to due to incompatibility' (https://i.imgur.com/q5KUslQ.png) using a Pixel 7 in Android Studio. Same error with v17.4 but v17.3 loads without error. I did update Zygisk - LSPosed to 1.9.3, but did not help.

    It was working fine a couple of weeks ago with Play Integrity Fix v16.9. Anyone got the latest Play Integrity Fix (v17.5) loading properly?

    Edit: can still lock with v17.3.

    So I just got banned on my 7-11 account. I locked interstate and tried to use it within 2 hours, and got instant ban. Moral of the story, do not lock interstate, and perhaps, do not use within a few hours of locking.

    [EDIT]: How can I register a new account ? My 7-11 app on my iPhone wont let me register a new account. Thanks.
