          and I am not notJV.

          • @jv: Now tell me how to register a new account ?

            • -1

@DonaldJTrump: backup and reset your phone might work according to some people here…

    • +1

do not lock interstate, and perhaps, do not use within a few hours of locking.

Think it's the second part. Still been locking interstate with a new account after my first couple got banned, so far it's been fine as long as I waited until at least the day after before fuelling up.
I mean it makes sense, if you're a 'normal' user why would you bother with locking if you were just gonna immediately go fuel up straight after lol?

  • Is GeoPort going to work with iOS18?

    • -1

      maybe

    • +1

Just tried it. It works fine.

      • +1

        thanks for your info!

  • Reporting back - same state lock seems to have worked fine

  • +1

Update from my end - lock works within the same state - one account per iPhone 8 and iPhone 6S (newish accounts with iPhones reset) still worth it saving $20 per 80L of 98

    • -2

      saving $20 per 80L

Not when other stations nearby are a lot cheaper than 7/11

      • If I care to fill up 98, do I fill up Mobil 1 goodness at 7-11 or unknown sludge from Panter/United/Liberty ?

        • +1

The price from the same brand often varies by a lot within a few kms.

Just checking Coles Express within 5km from me varies from 167.9 to 193.9 (8c cheaper if using vouchers)

          7/11 are 187.9 to 193.9

  • +1

    Doh!
caught by the 25c/L discount limit again. bh.

    voucher for 166.5.
local price last night was 171.9
start filling up this afternoon and notice the pump says 212.9, bugger.
Immediately stop filling and will head for a better price, either another 7-11, or the various BPs around that still say low 170s

    • it's interesting that a servo sets 221.9 while another one is 200 meters away, sets 150.9… what's the point of hiking price…

  • Any luck locking any fuel locks at all? Showing A01 errors for me for all locks, choppers or local.

    • I was getting A01s on Mrs BJReplays account. She had linked Velocity, so unlinked.

Set up new account, linked velocity on that, and golden. But see my post at the end of the thread - I think it's game over.

  • I have just locked the interstate fuel on 2 of my id’s through geo port Iphone 15 pro max ios 18

Step 1 download the geo port windows
Step 2 connect the phone to laptop bia usb and make sure you connected to wifi before connecting to geo port

Step 3 select the device and select the fuel mode as well

    Step 4 connect device
Step 5 select fuel type and simulate the location
Step 6 open the 7elevn app and search for the fuel( if you will try to lock it here it will give you the a01error so only search the fuel and leave the 7 eleven app as it is

Step 6 disconnect the device from geo port
Step 7 go back to the 7 elevn app and hit on lock the fuel price and it will lock it

Step 8 connect the phone again to geo port to stop the location
Step 9 wait 2-3 days before filling the patrol if you do it next day or the same day your account will get locked

    • +1

Have you redeemed successfully with these steps? Some times the account bans happen at point of redemption not when locking.

      • +2

Lock, fill, scan, fail and pay full price.
Just locking in doesn't mean you are successful.

      • Yes i have just filled it works for me

    • Didnt you want to use a vpn for interstate locking!?

  • I think it's game over (at least for Android, at least on physical phones without a SIM) because the app insists on precise location - which include WiFi for location information - and it can use this to know when the GPS location doesn't match WiFi information.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm getting consistent A01s when I used to be able to lock on an old device that I run at home on WiFi.

    • Yes same for me, happening on iPhone. I used to set fake location, then search for fuel on app, turn off fake location, and then press the fuel lock button on app to do the fuel locking. But this is no longer working, getting A01 error when pressing the lock button. Tried with a newly created account as well - same result.

    • Connect to (another) phone's hotspot instead of home wifi.

      • Connect to (another) phone's hotspot instead of home wifi.

Tried that - still getting A01s

      • Legend - thank you! I just started getting A01 errors, this morning (was fine last week). I use an iPad connected to home wifi so I connected to my phone's hotspot instead and it worked. Locking same state (about 45 min away).

  • Can someone assist please:
I have been locking in for the past while using ifakelocation for my old iphone however, i have had to purchase a new iphone and a message pops up on ifake saying it doesn't support my ios version. Any ideas how I can resolve this or is there another chopper I should be using?
    TIA

    • +3

use geoport, it works fine, even with iOS 18

      • Thanks, I’ll try with a vpn. I’m getting a01 errors when not using a vpn. Could you simply put the steps you follow. What I used to do is set fake location, then search for fuel on app, turn off fake location, and then press the fuel lock button on app to do the fuel locking. But this is no longer working, getting A01 error when pressing the lock button. Tried with a newly created account as well - same result.

        • -1

Could you simply put the steps you follow.

I only lock in my home state, so don't use a VPN.

I just have my iphone running off my home network, connect it via USB to the PC and change my location. Never had an issue…

I also make sure the 7/11 app is not running in background before I change location, or after I change location back again (just in case they track sudden location changes). I also make sure I don't open the 7/11 app until a reasonable time has passed that would have allowed me to travel the distance between locations.

          • @jv: Is it no longer safe to lock interstate? Petrol price seems to be dropping so interstate price is much cheaper and within the 25 cents limit.

            • -1

@OhNoUShiz: With the 25c limit, it is now almost unnecessary to lock interstate, so why bother risking it?

Also, I find Coles Express often cheaper when prices jump up, when you take into account the 8c flybuys/AFL app discounts.

              • @jv: Check the difference in price for LPG in Vic compared to QLD!

                • -1

                  @Mad Max: I don't use LPG.

              • @jv: Ok thank you.

      • Cannot find Developer mode option.
        15PM iOS 18.0.1

Interstate chopper still works for me on iPhone with VPN and iFakeLocation. Sometimes I'll get the A01 Error, but then I'll just login to one of my other 4 accounts and it will work fine. Next time, the other account that didn't work will work, so I'm not sure what the go is…

    • Thanks, I’ll try with a vpn. I’m getting a01 errors when not using a vpn. Could you simply put the steps you follow. Same steps but in the background have VPN set to the city you’re trying to lock in to

  • Getting a01 on my iPhone after having no issues for a long time. Always only locked in prices in Sydney and waited two days before trying to use the lock even though I'm only in Canberra. Tried VPN to Sydney, using iAnyGo just like always… Is the dream over?

      • A fellow citizen of culture. Much obliged, jv

    • Same here

    • Just locked in using Geoport with wifi and hotspot off. Worked fine for me.

      • Hmmmm ok. I’ll give it another go. Might try the emulation route as well to see if it’s just my device.

        • Aaaaaand it worked first go on the iPhone. Back in the game!

(Couldn't edit as it had been too long.)

          • @ThaiChiMeatball: I'm in the same boat, getting A01 errors no matter what I do, tried with ifakelocation, geoport, VPN etc. tried everything mentioned here and had no luck. could you please summarize the steps that you followed? Thanks a lot @ThaiChiMeatball

            • @Techefy: I used iPhone with iAnyGo, WiFi off and VPN on for Sydney. Using ProtonVPN and it worked ok. Lower comments seem to indicate Proton might not work anymore but that's a problem for the next time I need to lock in.

Didn't end up trying the emulation route as I didn't need to.

    FOLLOW THESE STEPS
    FUEL LOCKED 27/09
    Fuel Lock redemption 04/10

I have just locked the interstate fuel on 2 of my id’s through geo port Iphone 15 pro max ios 18

Step 1 download the geo port windows

Step 8 connect the phone again to geo port to stop the location
Step 9 wait 2-3 days before filling the patrol if you do it next day or the same day your account will get locked

    • I'm going to try this out as I have no other option left

      • +1

Well, tried the exact same steps and still got the A01 error after pressing the lock button… @Mahakaal

    • Followed these steps (well iFL instead of GeoPort) and couldn't get it work for an interstate log in. I suspect 7-Eleven was blocking NordVPN. I was able to lock a fake location within my home state (Victoria) and redeem.

  • Was getting Error A01 when having done in-state fuel locks for months.
Turned off wifi (while still on the fuel lock screen too), tried the button and bingo, fuel lock went through.
    iPhone iOS18, Geoport.

    • -1

mine has always worked fine with wifi.

      I'm also on iOS18

  • +1

Was gettting Error A01 on all ProtonVPN servers from the cheapest state, worked going through a private VPN in that state. iOS 18.0.1 non-jailbroken, location set using GeoPort on Mac

Realised too late that the 7/11 I went to was charging 230.9 (!) for U98 so even with 25 cent discount I paid heaps more than the cheapest non-7/11 U98 price of 179.9 in the area. Will be checking PetrolSpy more carefully in future now the discount is limited to 25c per litre.

    • Could you please summarize the steps that you followed, I tried all the above mentioned methods and still getting the A01 error. Created a new account with VPN on for the state that I wanted to lock the fuel and it was an immediate ban. Thank you

      • They have banned lots of known VPN IPs. It worked for me using a VPN server I set up myself which is not one of the well-known VPN providers like Proton, Nord etc.

      • You can set up you personal vpn via aws. I just tried today and it worked. here's more info
        https://towardsdatascience.com/how-to-create-a-free-vpn-serv…

        • Thanks, so does it allow us to select a state when purchasing aws? Dont we have to setup servers in all states to lock fuel in any state we want

          • @Techefy: Unfortunately I was only able to set up vpn server in Sydney region since they have data centre there. I’m not sure if it’s possible to set up for other state sorry

        • I managed to set up the vpn via aws. On aws do you leave the instance running after fuel lock?
The aws free tier only allows 750 hours per month.

The problem I have is that if I stop and restart the same aws instance after fuel lock, I cant reconnect to openvpn.

          • @felixfktung: depends how frequent you need to use the vpn. for me i just spin up a instance and delete when i'm done as i'm not in free trial. since you are in trial i think it's okay to keep it running but make sure to check the billing portal if you are not getting any additional charges.

i think when you stop and start the instance it assigns a new ip. As a result you have start over from setting up the openvpn server in step 2. There's definitely a way to fix that i just haven't done more digging.

            • @jimmyV: I only use this vpn once a week to lock fuel in NSW.
That is exactly my issue. Each time I restart the instance, a new ip is allocated to it. I then need to reconfigure the server in order to connect to the vpn.
I’ve watched numerous YouTube videos on how to setup openvpn using aws. But none of them address this issue I have.

            • @jimmyV: Yeah it’s frustrating but you can have a look at the ansible/terraform playbooks to automate the process so you don’t have to manually create and set up the box

              • @jimmyV: Yesterday I tried to lock fuel using the openvpn Sydney server I have setup but got the A01 error. This was working a few days ago. Are you having much luck?

                • @felixfktung: Yeah i got the error too. seems like they figured it somehow and patched it. There's definitely some 7/11 goons spying on this post looking for any loopholes that they can patch afterwards.

    • +6

If it helps I have a map on my site refinery.fyi to help you find where you can get the maximum 25¢ discount.

      • Any chance of updating the map code to change the value when you are switching between states? I only lock in same state after all the ban crackdowns.

        • +1

Thanks for the suggestion, I've added it to the site.

I've also updated the site so it now remembers your chosen region and fuel type.

          • @vu: Thanks mate, working good now with the value change. This is going to sound kinda dumb but maybe you can put a text box as the value instead of just a label so you can type in what you have locked previously? Sometimes the fuel can go up a lot since my last lock and it makes it harder to locate a station, would also be good to have a way to hide all dots except green ones. Sorry if i'm asking too much of your time with this but I do appreciate your site.

      • Fantastic site.

Any chance adding a (×) button to autodetect location?

        • I'm not sure what you mean? There's a button on the map to allow geolocation and it's optional to use.

          • @vu: Wow totally missed it, was expecting to see a round, mobile-style button, not a compass arrow.

            But it works, thanks.

      • I love this feature! Would it be easy to implement selecting a different fuel (e.g. P95/P98/Diesel)?

        • +1

It already supports that. Click on the fuel you want from the horizontal list then it'll show you the places in green that fall within the 25c limit.

          • @Vavoom: Oh thanks!! Just saw that icon in the bottom of the fuel selection.

  • How are people enabling Developer Mode on ios 18 ?
Do you have to enable developer beta updates ?

  • I am getting this error when I try to set a location on GeoPort " Error setting location: [WinError 10051] A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable network"
What am I doing wrong? I have ios17.7

Android, weird behavior - getting A01 out of nowhere, on freshly built image that worked just a week ago.

Quit, did Cold Boot, that solved it. Go figure.

How to unhide Developer Mode on iOS 18

If for any reason, you cannot see the Developer Mode option on your iPhone, follow these steps.

I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and could not see the Developer Mode toggle in Privacy & Security.
Apple had it 'hidden' for whatever reason, or maybe there is another setting that it depends on. (I don't have 2FA on my iCloud account)

I installed Tenorshare iFoneCare > connected iPhone to PC > select More Tools on iFoneCare > Turn on.
This will enable the Developer Mode option to show on iPhone. Then you can proceed from your iPhone and turn in On.

    https://www.tenorshare.com/products/icarefone.html

    Hope it helps someone !!

      😳

  • I see lots of people with iOS working but is anyone on Android still getting this to work, even if just same state?
I am still getting A01 error but if anyone on Android can tell me it is working I want to start fresh and try their method.

    • +4

It's working, but not in a massively reliable way.

I had to re-build my image recently, roughly the sequence of steps:

      1. Follow this base guide to get an image up and running https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/678629?page=21#comment-132…
      2. Make sure to bake in Magisk by adding "FAKEBOOTIMG" at the appropriate step in "./rootAVD.sh whatever-your-path-may-be/ramdisk.img FAKEBOOTIMG"
      3. Install 7-eleven app
      4. open magisk, will update & reboot a couple of times
      5. in Magisk settings,
        - enable "Hide magisk app" (will restart)
        - enable zygisk
        - enable denylist (do not enforce!)
        - add 7-11 to denylist
      6. in magisk modules, install
        - zygisk assistant
      7. Location spoofing (no need to do the old dev mock location thing)
        - install https://github.com/Android1500/GpsSetter and open it, it will display "Xposed whatever error"
        - open lsposed, enable com.android1500.gpssetter module
        - this should stop 7-11 complaining about fake location
        - https://github.com/ThePieMonster/HideMockLocation/releases/d… & enable in lsposed
      8. get app list detector
      9. Install https://github.com/Dr-TSNG/Hide-My-Applist/releases
        • restart to enable service
        • go to apps, select 7-11 and applist detector, keep mode as "blacklist"
        • create a blacklist with those two
        • run app detection test to see that it's all green ticks

This should make it work. Sometimes I get A01, and it needs cold reboot, dunno why.

      • Would this work with interstate locks or just same state

        • Why don't you try and tell us?

          • @smartialarts: Tried doing the above steps, but couldn't get it to work. Although I didn't receive the A01 error. I got Price lock may not be available in your area.

Some of the steps I'm not sure about

            1. in Magisk settings,
              • enable denylist (there's no option for this)
              • enforce denylist (turned off)
            2. Install Hide-My-Applist
              • go to apps, select 7-11 and applist detector, keep mode as "blacklist" - Couldn't see an option for mode.

If you could post screenshots for these if you can that would be appreciated

            • @akay0402: Yeah you're right, probs no need to "enable denylist".

              Screenshots https://imgur.com/a/pKw6C15

For "Install Hide-My-Applist: go to apps, select 7-11 and applist detector, keep mode as "blacklist" - Couldn't see an option for mode."
              do this:
              1) Open "Hide my app" app
              2) Go to "App manage"
              3) Select app in question
              4) Click "Enable hide"

Then in "Template manage" from main menu create a new blacklist template and add 7-11 app and applist detector (both need to be enabled first via "App mange"

              Hope this helps

            • @akay0402: For "not available" error make sure you pressed "play" button in GPS Setter - sometimes have to move the pin a little randomly from Refinery.fyi-supplied one. I wonder if 7-11 started tracking & rejecting exact coord matches based on the refinery.fyi data…

              • @smartialarts: Unfortunately still no joy.
Please find the screenshots below https://imgur.com/a/Xw0mdVx

                • @akay0402: Did you try cold boot after everything is set up? To do that, shut down the emulator, click on … next to the emulator in the list of devices and select "Cold boot"

                  • @smartialarts: Just to clarify, this is the process that works for me:

                    1. Start emulator, set location in GPS setter
                    2. For shits and goggles see if price lock works in 7-11 app, but it is likely not going to
                    3. Quit emulator not saving state
                    4. Click … select cold boot
                    5. Open 7-11 app, lock should work
