PowerColor Radeon RX 6600 Fighter 8GB RDNA 2 Graphics Card $679 + Delivery @ PC Case Gear

70

Limit 1 graphics card per household. The PowerColor Radeon RX 6600 Fighter 8GB RDNA 2 graphics card features a 2044MHz game clock, 2491MHz boost clock, 8GB GDDR6 VRAM, 128-bit memory interface, 14GB/s memory speed, AMD RDNA™ 2, PCI-E 4.0, 1 x HDMI 2.1, 3 x DisplayPort 1.4, OpenGL 4.6, DirectX 12, AMD FidelityFX and Radeon Image Sharpening.

RX6600 is about the same performance of RTX3060, but without DLSS & the 12GB VRAM.

This GPU was posted 6 weeks ago, new post as it is now in stock again.
If it was me getting a GPU, I would probably wait a week and see if the RTX3050-8GB is available at sub-$600, mainly for the DLSS.

This tier of GPU should be around $479 factoring inflation and AUD/USD value.
+$200 pandemic/crypto-miners tax, thats not including sales that would have occurred otherwise.

This is a 'normal' price for a 6600 non XT. They've been posted on here recently for 659 and there is one currently available from Mwave for 669 - https://www.mwave.com.au/product/msi-radeon-rx-6600-armor-8g…

or 659 for an open box one - https://www.mwave.com.au/product/open-box-asrock-radeon-rx-6…

3050 8GB is also coming out in a week and MSRP is $249USD - so in a magical land this would be $420 to 450 AUD

When recently GPU prices are starting to come down, we all tends to be very fuzzy now, bring us the real deals please, these prices are not good enough

  • i got MSI GeForce RTX™ 3060 AERO ITX OC 12GB GDDR6 Graphics Card from techfast for $720 delivered and i can tell you its barely worth that (keeping current market in mind) let alone the price listed above.. Def better off with 6600 at those prices and if you feel its worth it use nicehash or somethign like that to mine off th excess ..

    Better off with a 6600XT for 20% more performance at a 15% premium ($779).

Is that a good price or should I wait longer for a deal?

      • +2

It was around $600 at launch for reference. It's hard to say how long you would be waiting for a better deal. So if you want a solid card (around 5700XT performance) then this is probably the least terrible deal you can get right now.

If you can hold out until second half of this year, the next 4000 series Nvidia, refreshed AMD and Intel cards should all be coming out as well as crypto mining pressure reducing if/when ETH merge is completed

  • The low tier card market isn't attractive to miners. For this pricing to still be up there? Scalpers gonna scalp.

  • This is now available for $649 from PCCG - pretty good deal in relation to the 6500XT's performance and the RTX 3050's price
