look for actual reviews not some rando site that is not actually testing the cards
Do not use aggregate sites like this to look at performance
2070S is slower, but about on par with a 7600
https://www.guru3d.com/review/xfx-radeon-rx-9060-xt-swift-oc…
This card will be close to 50% faster than your 2070S
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/sapphire-radeon-rx-9060-x…
In the current market, nothing comes close to the value this card provides
While better priced here than the 9070/XT, still not a good deal in the context of stagnant performance gains over previous generations.
Same can be said for 5060/9060 series I guess…
@heef: Once it's dialled in properly, you're on the verge of getting 4070 Ti Super performance at 4070 prices, so I'm failing to see the issue given the 40 series is discontinued.
The margin will blow out over time through FP4 support for AI, and better BVH compression for RT.
Yes it's not on a new silicon process or with a new transistor design, but that happens from time to time (GTX 500, GTX 700, GTX 900, RTX 20).
@heef: DLSS 4 is hopium? NRC? The rest of the RTX SDK? Ok.
Graphics remains a great use case for these faster forms of maths.
@jasswolf: These features give developers a free pass for not optimising their games. It's like giving your dog a treat when it sh*ts on the carpet.
@heef: These are tools. Some use them smartly, some use them poorly, some completely misunderstand them and rant about it on social media.
As apposed to the RTX5060Ti 16GB that costs 25% more and is a little faster then a RX 9060 XT 16GB?
you are right that it's not insane/impressive uplift but it is more around the 25-30% not what this mob has published, i've never heard of this publication. Also aside from dumb pricing this is a tier lower than the 2070S…
In games that max out the 8GB's of ram on the 2070S the RX9060XT is almost 100% to 1000% faster no joke HUB Youtube have been getting crazy numbers in new demanding games with 8GB VS 16GB GPU's :)
yeh there was no point into getting to the other area's where the new gen cards are better, more vram (ignoring the pointless 8gb versions), better RT, better performance using upscaling in relation (due to better ai cores) etc …. just worse pricing in relation.
this site is way more reputable and states its 26% faster. and if you watch hardware unboxed 8GB vs 16GB video you will see that the actual performance of the 16GB 9060 XT is around 100% to 1000% faster in games where 8Gb's gets maxed out and the number of game titles where that happens is growing,
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-rx-9060-xt-16-g…
You are getting the math wrong… You are meant to divide the difference by the lower value and times it by 100 to get the %. For example 26/74 x 100 = 35.1351351351. Or… you could go to the 2070 Super as reference and look at the graphs there which shows that the 9060XT is 35% faster.
ALL GPU's at the moment are a disappointment when it comes to price but if you look at this card compared to what else you can actually buy right now its not a disappointment at all. Thats where people coming from.. also the first comment is just wrong.
12-15% faster than a 2070 super when its actually 26% faster :) and that not taking into amount the 8 vs 16GB's of video memory that has massive impact in new titles that exceed 8GB.
Also Nvidia is to blame for pushing up prices this high… :) gone are the days when you can buy a $250 RTX1060 3GB or $250 RX470 4GB and they would run everything out at the time without compromises
12 percent, 26 percent idgf. 2070 super is a 6 year old GPU for Hunter Biden's sake. WHY IS IT STILL IN THE DISCUSSION? I'm blaming the socialist LABOR government, for it's mismanagement of funds, which lead to the financial crisis, the Australian population for voting them, and SOUTH KOREA/INTEL for not having good fabs.
I mean AMD/Nvidia is being pretty fair here. Like they have control over the market, why shouldn't they upcharge their products? As a hater of SOCIALISM and a lover of CAPITALISM, I support
Ok, thanks - I didn’t realise that aggregate site was iffy. Apologies for linking to it everyone!
I know I’m probably going to get lots of negs again, but I’m still sad about its performance- 25% ish bump after 5 years is not worth $650 (even if the performance increase is even more on 8gb limited games).
To be clear, if I was getting into pcs now, sure - this is a decent value prop in the new gpu market, but I already have one. The value of an upgrade at this price just isn’t there
no worries mate, I think it would be more like 30-35% looking at techpowerup relative performance https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-2070-super… still not a huge jump until you hit the 8gb vram wall in some games
yes the price to performance for gpus is complete crap atm but it is what it is
Shame-in hunter.
I have this card its its temperatures are great for such a small unit.
Runs quiet too. Glad to be back on a Sapphire card. Gigabyte can kick rocks.
I'm tossing up whether to go for triple fan version but I think your comments helped me save some money
Why would you buy this when you can get an XFX Swift OC for $619?? https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/graphics-cards/amd/11884…
Sure Sapphire has a better rep and it's smaller but the Pure is their lower tier model and paying extra for a slightly slower card seems a bit silly to me.
"Sure Sapphire has a better rep" - exactly! I take this brand over an XFX
XFX Swift is also their lower tire model.
I have the XFX Swift OC in white and also this Pure card.. the XFX Swift OC 3 fan is 290cm long vs 240cm long on the pure. (240cm is great for SFF cases)
:) i like the XFX better because it has two display ports.. I would say the only thing better about the pure is the fans are a little bit quieter and the card is small but both are quiet an not that big overall
I think the XFX Swift OC 2 fan model is better at 270cm long
https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/graphics-cards/amd/11926…
Yeah but the 3 fan model should have better thermal performance if you plan on overclocking though I haven't seen comparison benchmarks yet.
i think the extra is in RGB tax
Hi lads, worth it if upgrading from a 5700xt?
the extra VRAM is definitely worth it, especially with newer games
YES & lower power draw
If you can afford it, y not? It an upgrade in your case.
