The images listed in the ad are quite misleading IMO - they've done everything possible to imply that these lights will connect to your TV and display the matching colours individually. This is not the case and will just be normal RGB strip lighting with their own basic colour changing effects. Gladly proven wrong on this though.

  Assume nobody believes they are buying it with that feature for $12 delivered. Seems to sync to audio so that would likely be more annoying than helpful. Assume if you want to set it to a single colour it could be worthwhile.

    Why should we have to assume though? Not everyone is knee-deep in the world of leds, hue, govee, etc.
    I'd rather assume that vendors represent their products accurately.

    You can try this one, it's not our brand, it's cheaper and also doesn't sync the lights with the TV audio, just set a single backlight via the remote.

Are there any good value strips out there that would just turn on with the tv, without having to use a remote. And stay just the one colour for biaslighting?

  The other thing you could do if you have Alexa/Google is get a Broadlink Mini for about $25 and it allows you to turn your TV off and on by voice. And get a wifi/Tuya lighstrip.
  
  Then just set a routine in Alexa for "Turn TV on" it turns on both the TV and the lightstrip at the desired colour and brightness.

  I bought one of these ones a while back and it turns on automatically with the tv and is the last colour that you changed it to, so no need to play with the remote everytime if that is all you are after…
  3m is no where near enough for a 65" all the way around ive got it on the sides and top edges of mine.

Please stop posting this deal.
Every time you post it with the same misleading picture.

And you should just call it a led strip with music sync. NOT tv led strip.

It is not designed specifically for use on a tv or am I missing something.
