This really isn't a great gaming monitor. It's only 75Hz, and it's IPS, so it's a fairly slow refresh rate. It's a good monitor for general use though, we use them at work for those who feel a single 24" FHD isn't enough, but don't want to dedicate the desk space to 2 monitors (plus they're white).

It's not bad for the price tbh

    • This monitor or https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/678729?

      Size is not a factor…

      • Dell should have better image.

    • Just wanted to mention that IPS monitors are excellent gaming monitors. This just isnt one of them. My IPS monitor is 165hz.

Not sure why everyone thinks they're a pro Korean league gamer that needs the very best gear. Unless you're competing at the highest level a 75hz rate vs 144hz isn't going to make a significant difference in your performance.

I find it barely noticeable, but maybe I have old eyes.

I saw this as well this morning - curious to hear what people think of this vs the Dell monitors on offer.

AOC monitors are great for productivity work for this price. I'm in front of 3x32inches right now. They aren't bad for gaming - I'm not a huge gamer but they are ok for what I like. A little colour and temp adjustment out of the box and you are good to go.

    • Is it OK for LOL?

    • I'm currently using 2x 27" FHD and 1x 34" 21:9 1080p.

I'm thinking of setting up 3x 32" QHD or 3x 4K. What's the width of your desk?

What's required PC specs to power this set up? Thanks

  • I have a similar model (AOC Q3279VWFD8). They are good budget monitors for general use but I wouldn't use an IPS panel for gaming/media due to poor contrast.

Shouldn't call it a gaming monitor if its only 75hz….

  • Is this ok for a workstation, or music production aka midi sequencer.
I'm always worried about the scaling
I was thinking ultra-wide is better for more space…

    No gaming at all.

    $300 seems really cheap.

  • Gigabyte M27Q has a smaller screen but with proper gaming specs, goes on sale for the same price.

  • Had one of these for over a year as daily driver for WFH - paid $330 then. Great for coding, doc writing, videoconf etc, due to the extra real estate (much better than dual screen IMO). Works perfectly fine for simple gaming if you don't need high refresh rates.

If it was 4K resolution at 32-inches, I would've definitely bought it. QHD is too low of a res at this screen size.

It's the same pixel density as FHD at 24", it's fine.

Their might be some older 31.5" AOC Q32V3/WS screens around they had VA panels which is what I have, I didnt want to spend double or more for a gaming monitor, these are fine for the price range.

I would choose size and QHD over a smaller faster screen for $300.

  • OOS now

  • picked up one from local JW computers in Castle Hill… $319 e.a then $30 promo brings it down to $290.
They seem to have plenty of stock (you can check stock levels on their website)
