        Not the Master.

        • I know, it's the original MX which is what Brrrrt incorrectly said this deal is for.

      • That one was the 💣

      • Still using it now, still excellent and holds good charge 13+ years later

        • Well done! the soft rubber crumbled on mine. Good mouse.

      • That was great. From memory no unifying and way less battery. Also it had super comfy soft rubber. friend didnt like the wash your hands after eating greasy shit rule. Turns out that basically melts the rubber over time (Same bloke took out 2 early ps4 controllers well the analogue sticks anyway and now brings his own).

Next step was an m950 which is the same without the side wheel but does have unifying.

      • Im not sure I would call the MX Revolution the original MX… I have an MX1000 which I am pretty sure was the successor to the MX700 and from memory I got that in 2004/2005 I still have it in daily use on my work PC as well. Amazing mouse.

      • I still have that one in my laptop bag, still going strong after 10+ years.
Bought from Logitechshop when they were having great deals.

      • still have that in the house, somewhere. Think I broke the dongle so now its useless :(

    • I might suggest staying with the v1 if you don't need the Flow feature (v2S+) or pairing with MX Keys (v3)…

I'm on the v1 since 2015, and I've had colleagues with 2S & 3 who complain from Bluetooth dropouts and/pr random hangs (but this is resolved when using the dongle). In an older thread it was confirmed that others on OZB had experienced this too.

      • +1

What is this "pairing with MX Keys" about?

        • I understand its something to do with pairing them together so that they only have to use one dongle to the pc, see this video.

          • +3

@Warehouse: No, Logitech have always been able to have up to six devices on a single dongle.

In this case, having an MX Keys keyboard and the Master 3 mouse means your can setup simultaneous switching of both kB + m between multiple devices by only using the selector on the keyboard. So you don't have to flip the mouse over each time to swap to your other PC, for example.

            • +1

@Switchblade88: thank you for the clarification.

            • +1

@Switchblade88: Alas I wish this feature existed, but it doesn't.

              https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500008089162

Would need a bit of Apple-level over engineering, but hopefully they eventually implement it.

            • @Switchblade88: Didn't know this existed. Any ideas on how I do this?

            • +1

This is not true. If I understand it correctly, at this moment Logitech's wireless protocol is not capable of sending commands to other devices, so there's no way the keyboard can tell the mouse to switch channel or vice versa.

Even if the protocol is enhanced/updated to support additional commands, they need extra buttons or multi-stage buttons on the device to select which mouse/keyboard to pair with, because there can be multiple devices in the proximity. Basically it is a hardware change, not a simple software or firmware update.

The bottom line is that the design has always been communications between device and transceiver, never device to device. In recent years they have added addition transmitters to support multiple computers and smart devices, but they have not revamped the wireless design.

So, a seemingly simple feature, a direct link between keyboard and mouse, may require a total overhaul and chances the unify receivers won't be backward compatible and no longer "unify", which is a big marketing decision.

        • I think it just pairs them so you can switch sources easier. I remember the mx2 allowed you to move between computers and even copy files. there was a few seconds of delay when moving cursor and the copying was pretty useless for anything but text, not sure what version of ble it was using but definitely not meant for data transfer. Cant remember if i tested it with dongle.

I haven't actually used my master 3 from the keyboard bundle. (I swapped my mx 2's battery that wasn't holding charge with an mx 1s that had the laser issue. I thought they both did or I wouldnt have bought the 3) I did the youtube fix of unscrewing the hidden thumb button slightly which did fix the laser tracking issue. Bad planning on my part though, I screwed up the pads covering the screws.

After logitech US stopped helping us for tech support/warranty (my experience with logi sea is broken english and an email reply every 1-2 weeks….US just sent a replacement after 5-10 minutes talking and basic troubleshooting. Amazon is great if that concerns you considering all 3 masters have had bad QA and common issues. They just refund you if there isnt anything in stock at the price you bought. Mu customer service guy suggested I contact logitech and see if they'll send me another so I have a spare if the same thing happens lol.

      • yes for that reason I always use unify receiver, no connectivity issues, no lag

    • +1

I have both I used the Mx master 1 for about 4 years before it is died on me, now I have mx master 3 . I like the shape of Mx master 1 better

    • -6

      … "so sexy"…

You need to get out more…

    • I have the mx master and revolution still in the draw, great design, wish they'd restore the thumb scroller and click. But the tracking doesn't compare to the newer models, if only they could re-mxmaster the originals I'd buy.

    • Totally agree, I have not hMX master & MX3 but I never got used to MX3, only use it when MX is on charging, MX3 has smaller grip than MX & I can't est my hand the way I can on MX

  • +1

Keep in mind this is mx master version 1. We're up to version 3 now and even that's hard to find as 4 is coming out.

    • +3

      Sounds about right…

      • 2015 - MX Master
      • 2017 - MX Master 2S
      • 2019 - MX Master 3
      • 2022 - MX Master 4 ?

Anyway, got to wonder is this genuinely old stock or Logitech has been making them alongside the 2S for awhile?

  • +5

I am still using my gen 1 mx master.
I've been tempted to upgrade, but since it still works, I can't bear to throw it out…

    • +1

Agreed. Got mine from a deal last year @ $58. Battery is still going strong.

      • +2

I bought mine about 3 years ago and it hasn't skipped a beat. Used it daily for at least 2 years.

        • +3

I got mine 6 years ago! I'm still using it at work.

    • Same here, 4 years running here.

Has anyone found a replacement battery? Mine seems to only last a week of constant use (40+ hours per week).

      • +1

        Around $20 from eBay

    • Same here, love it.

I have had to do the fix for the thumb button, but after that works fine. I was apprehensive doing it due to needing to peel the feet off the bottom of the mouse to remove the screws, but they stuck back on and seem to have settled back into place just fine.

  • +1

Absolutely love the MX 3, best mouse I have ever used. The thumb buttons on the 1 seem to be in a very uncomfortable location. You would need to lift you hand and move it back so your thumb could reach them, or do some weird thumb contortions to press them.

  • If this topic include a '3' in~~~It will be a perfect deal

  • i dont like how the switching button for BT and wifi is at the bottom. they should make the button more accessible to fast switch

    • +1

Seems like it would then be easier to accidentally switch which would be a bad thing

      • nah on the G604, its below the mouse wheel and requires a click and hold for 3seconds.

        • Agree. On the M720 it's near the thumb which is super handy.

  • +1

i had this, but it's a bit too big if you got small hand

  • +2

    I'm left-handed, no deal :(

  • -4

this was a good deal 10 years ago

  • Why I can't use Logitech Flow with this mouse? The Option software just doesn't have that option.

    • +3

Because this mouse was released before the Logitech Flow feature existed, and that feature was never implemented into this legacy model - whether because of hardware limitation (like no / not enough onboard memory), or by choice (buy the new model!).

From memory Logitech Flow was introduced with the 2s.

    • This is a relatively old mouse before Logitech Flow is introduced
Logitech introduced Flow as part of the MX Master 2S (or above) feature
from marketing point of view, no reason for them to support older devices

I am just curious why Amazon UK are still selling this 2015 product

    • try mouse without border, simple and easy, probably better than flow

  • +1

    Thanks OP, bought one.

  • Love mine ♥

  • +1

I still love my logitech performance mx

  • Wish Logitech would go back to making bigger mice. I had the Performance MX and loved it.

Wore out the ratchet wheel though so "upgraded" to the 2s a few years back. Feels like it's half the size.

I claw grip it around like a laptop mouse because it doesn't reach my palm.

Hoping the 4 is a big boy but not hopeful.

  • I need a Bluetooth travel mouse, something that is more the classic mouse body. Any recommendations?

  • The thumb rest on this easily breaks.

    • +6

Mine are still intact after like 3 years. Maybe your Harambe thumbs are too strong.

      • I’ve broken it on three of these and repaired it on one. It’s a common problem, usually takes 2-4 years though.

  • +2

Bought one last year and another this year. Absolutely love these mice… At this price it's a no brainer. Also amazon used DHL for both of mine and delivery was fast.

  • +1

Been using it for around 3 years and still going strong..Was a little worried that it will not suit smaller hands but turns out to be fine and I like the placement for the back/forward buttons! It is slightly more upfront for MX 3 so may not be as comfortable for me

  • Got an older one 3 years old, battery life is fading. Battery replacement doesnt look easy DIY.

  • +1

For those with big hands - are the back/forward buttons easy to push? They look far back which would require you to reposition your grip.
Would I be better off spending extra on the 3?

    • +1

don't have huge hands but big enough. I found them quite clumsy to use on this model but the newer mx3 is about as comfortable to use as you could ask.
It's been said by others, but I've owned every generation of these mice and the current is well worth the extra price. All great mice but the mx3 is at the point there is nothing I could think to change about it.

  • +1

The thumb button positioning is worth the extra cost of the 3, they got it really wrong on the original.

  • +1

Just a heads up, I bought the mouse when it was on special last time in December. It took over a month to arrive from the UK.
Mouse itself is brilliant, so great price if you can wait.

  • I have all three gens of MX master. I would suggest to go for MX master 3.

    • +1

      Can you share why please?

      • Master 3 is more comfortable to use. Longer battery and USB C charging port. Please buy Master 3 as you wouldn't need to change mouse every year but you need the best mouse.

    • What is with the spin wheel noise on the mx 3?

      https://youtu.be/Xh1wP5Of_6Q

  • Have this since 2016.. Still going strong. Would get one for back-up.

  • Literally just purchased this 2 days ago dang it…

  • If you use the side buttons, these may be a pain.

  • Are returns for Amazon UK/US the same as Amazon AU?

    • Yes just have to use different courier

  • Can you set up gestures for mac with these? Like swiping between fullscreen apps?

  • Back in stock.
