Looks exactly like the one all the big dept stores sell under various brands.

I got one of these when Aldi had them for $59 a few years ago, good cooker.

  • How much do these normally go for at stores without 'inflated' prices?

      • Its on HN Kitchenware too, you can negotiate online for a discount since Zanui price includes delivery. Order over $100 and you get free delivery on HN Kitchenware site. Will need to learn how to cook and I m good to go.

The manual has 30ish recipes in it to start you off :)

  • $9 delivery to 4300

Looks remarkably similar to this 'generic' quality on on Ebay - 1L less capacity but definitely came from the same maker.
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-6L-Cookware-Stainless-Steel-P…

I'd question the value based on this.

    • The lifetime warranty of the Baccarat vs 90 days for the Ebay one are quite telling.
Also the Ebay cooker is 18/8 stainless steel. This specific Baccrarat does not mention it in the description, so I can't know for sure, but their other models are 18/10 stainless steel, which lets me hope this is the same better quality material.

Edit: this Baccarat seems to be 18/8 only according to here: http://www.ledomaine.com.au/baccarat-signature-pressure-cook…
Hmmm… not happy… still buy or not?

No doubt, it's the same product without the Baccarat branding, compared the photos to what I have here. Lifetime warranty, 1L and recipe book are going to be the difference makers

  • I'm trying to find what its made of but can't find it via google.
The material for the base is listed but what about the rest of it - stainless steel or aluminium or other?

I'd prefer s/steel or the dark grey (I think its called hard adonised aluminium)

    • It's stainless steel. Can't tell you the type, but quoted from the box is "high quality stainless steel" so probably 18/0
EDIT: Others are suggesting it might be 18/8 or 18/10. I honestly couldn't tell you, Baccarat don't refer to it at all in their documentation, the base is definitely 18/0

  • If I was looking at buying a pressure cooker this size I might go for something like

    http://www.amazon.com/Fagor-8-Quart-Stainless-Steel-Pressure…

    It is more expensive though

Alternatively this at AUD $60.07 delivered would be comparable I reckon

    FYI guys

Just visited a small indian shop they have 3L Prestige for $53. They don't have stock for 7L but the guy said it'll be under $60.

My Indian colleague told me Prestige is a good brand and very famous in India.

      Which city are you in?
Why would they sell a 7L for less than $60 if their 3L is $53?

      • lol. Yea, thats what I was thinking. it shd be over 90.

  • Anybody buying this could do worse than add some of the finish powerball tablets they have at $10 for 52 (on their own delivery kills it).

Or for those without the option to pick up, you get the cooker for the same price here:
    https://www.harveynormankitchenware.com.au/p/2070/baccarat-p…

Advantage: If you add something else to get the order total to $100 you get free shipping. I did just that.

  • Has anyone received their order yet? I just got mine and it doesn't look brand new, that is the bags that the cooker came in looks like it has been repacked and the inner base isn't very smooth. Feels like someone's taking a scouring brush to it.

Is it just me or are they all like this?

EDIT: under proper lighting it looks like the non smooth ringing pattern is actually like that all around the cooker…just worse around the base.
