 - Agree this is no deal hn better - been a long time since someone said Harvey Norman is better - I know right lol

 - The Harvey's deal has a better GPU but rest of the Acer components are inferior to this laptop. If you want a desktop gaming replacement that is going to be plugged into a decent screen, the Acer would be an option. If you want an actual laptop, the Medion(Tongfang chassis) maybe an option. - Acer has inferior CPU - https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-i5-10300H-vs-AMD-… - 10300h scores 8742 vs 17344 of the 5600h - 8gb RAM vs 16gb - $1000 vs $1500 - As I said, it depends on your needs. If you are going to spend $1500, I would chose the Lenovo Legion with a 100% sRGB 165hz display and AMD CPU over the Medion or Acer for an actual laptop. - https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-5… - @ALBastru: I am already aware of that. However Medion laptop chassis are usually a whitebox from Clevo or TongFang vs Lenovo sourced chassis from an ODM. - @shellshocked: That chassis has Clevo written all over it. Nothing wrong with that, it looks nothing in common with any of the Lenovo units.

 - Everyone focuses too much on GPU these days. - It's not like everyone is mining or playing games. - That’s fair but it looks like they’re marketing this a gaming laptop. If you’re after a gaming laptop you can do much better for $1500. If you’re not after a gaming laptop then this isn’t a good choice either, considering size, weight and aesthetic of the design
 - It's also not like you're gonna tell the difference between running MS Word / Excel or Chrome / Browser between the two CPUs either.
 - Then save your money and spend half the amount on a laptop that doesnt have a dedicated GPU

 - I would rather burn money than give it to HN. TBH Screw him. At least Aldi actually takes care of their employees somewhat instead of sucking taxpayers dry.

 - Ryzen 7 would have been better pay a bit more and get from BingLee ASUS ROG Strix G15 - Pay a bit more and get 3090Ti 200GB - And a bit more for 4080 next year - how about a bit more for 5080?

 - What aisle are gaming laptops on? Is it next to the vegetables lol - Between the kayak and caravan cover.

 - Wow An Razer latop for 1$G
 - I don't understand why they can't put an Intel Wifi/Bluetooth card into a $1500 laptop. I mean the potential support issues alone with crappy Realtek hardware and drivers should outweigh the few dollars they save here. - It depends on the supply at the time. If you look up the spec of this laptop in Europe, with the Ryzen 5600h and 3050ti, it has an Intel Nic. I have both Intel amd Realtek Nics in multiple computers and neither are perfect.

 - Pretty sure this looks like a Clevo chassis - Certainly doesn't seem a bargain
 - 2.3kg if anybody want to know the weight.
 - 'Erazer' and 'Crawler' seems an odd choice for naming a gaming laptop. I guess if it runs like a dog and you lose all your files, you can't get a refund on false advertising. - Erazer is similar to Razor
Not sure what they were going for with Crawler

 - My theory with ALDI was that they make products that look prime but cutting down on some crucial aspects. For example once I came across a 50 inch TV, 48 is popular and 55, but 50? The price would be decent but the customer is made into thinking they made a good choice. I don't know maybe I am overthinking it. - Looks like somebody never owned a plasma. - I skipped after the Tube TVs :)

 - They buy 55" panels with faults near the edge, trim that off and sell it as a slightly smaller TV. - I appreciate that in terms of sustainability

 - So what's wrong with 50? 48 is good, 55 is good, but 50 is cutting down crucial details and fooling people? - 48 is alright but small, 55 is good for people who don't want to spend too much on electronics and also want a taste of large screen. 50 is misleading and the price is not indifferent to 55. As I said, my theory. I also see your perspective though…

 - $1500 for a 3050Ti laptop is sure not a deal - If it was a thin and light ultrabook with high quality build, a 3050 Ti at this price might be decent but it’s a relatively chonky gaming laptop which is just a rip off at this price

 - Once again, just shows how good a deal the Krakens from BPC are (were?)…
 - Is the memory expandable to 32 gigs?

I would still take the 3060 Harvey Norman deal for $1,099:
