    • Yep! Beyond their ideal range :D

  • How long does the approval process take?

    • Around 3 days for me

  • with credit card application, always exaggerate spending?

I just got rejected, so be careful it seems they either reject credit card churners or have some arbitrary rejection criteria. For those who are sensitive about getting rejected, not worth the risk as it affects your credit profile. As background I have 6-figures income and literally only one existing credit card at the moment, so pretty sure it is not my credit profile, most likely rejected due to me being a churner (same reason why I dont apply for citibank cards as they hate churners).

    • Oh boy, they've asked me documents in 4 different instances. Looks like my expenses are below average (which is … good?) which raised a red flag (ah, probably not then…)
Surely I've provided so much info they have to give me the card now lol

      • Also what's going on with their list of existing credit card providers. Couldn't find 28°/latitude but they had a bunch of redundant providers.

    • What is the limit on the existing card, and what limit did you ask on this card?

That might have something to do with it.

If you have > $5000 limit already, and you asked for the minimum $1000 limit, it doesn't look like you are actually going to use it. They might reject based on that.

      • This could be the case..

    • Sorry to hear that!

      P.S I didn't neg your comment btw

      i'm a churner, got approved.

    • No credit check with my application. Probably because of existing savings account.

I got rejected for a 2k limit with 100k earning. Do not waste your time and leave an rejection on your credit score.

Son just got the same result. 90K+ job and moving to a 120K+ job this week. I suppose that he probably doesn't need credit now - and ING probably doesn't need his banked savings either!

Last time they ask me for a document was 9days ago and no outcome yet. Not impressed.

lol, I sent a formal compliant into ING and was told the complaint manager will contact me in April. Will see what they say

  • Any sign of anyone receving the 150 yet?

    • Need to wait end of Feb if you fulfilled the criteria in January. Otherwise end of March if you fullfilled this month.

  • ING gives you no choice but to authorise them direct debit if you hold a savings account with them. Never come across this sort of thing before.

  • I've progressed to ID check (pics of ID + face)
    But no news since.
Surely that means I'm conditionally approved?
Looks like I'm gonna miss the cut off for Feb…

  • ING is by far the worst bank I have ever had to deal with.
Incompetent and arrogant customer care that just read a script and does not listen. And when eventually you manage to stop them from their script they reply disrespectfully and with attitude.
By no means we should milk ING for all we can, but discard them as soon as the scope has been achieved.
And if you cannot be bothered to put up with all their bulls#*% for a few $, just give them a miss. You will not regret it!!!
