    doesn't printscreen -> dump to paint do the same thing?

    • Indeed!

    • Only if you screen has higher resolution then the graphics on the pdf.
      It is free…

      • You can able to customize DPI …

        • use snipping tool under accessories if your win 7 … paint tool is too slow

      havent used the software myself, but my guess is that it can be used to print every single page in the pdf in one go…if that's the case then try print screening a hundred pages :).

      Why you would want to convert every single page into a jpeg is another question all together though :)

    • lol, what about when you have a 50 page document?

    • or use opensource/freeware Image printer…not only can you print anything to jpg/tiff, but also to PDF.
      http://sourceforge.net/projects/imageprinter/

  • My work's filter is blocking this site as "Malicious Embedded Link"…

    • Why was the blocking ? Everything is normal :-)

      • I don't know, but our filter is usually pretty good.

  • got it. thanks

    Just wondering what the point of this software is…

  • I've got Adobe Acrobat X :p

    My FREE PDF to JPEG/GIF/PNG converter, doing 300DPI:

    $ sudo apt-get install imagamagick
    $ convert -density 300 file.pdf file.jpg

    Yes ImageMagick is free on most platforms. Yes OzBargain uses that to automatically convert submitted PDF files/links to thumbnail images :)

    • But Scotty that requires you to be Linux nerd,
      which also mean giving up your social life…..not a bargain <g,d&r>

      • No. I get all my PDF to image conversions scripted and automated SO I can have a social life, rather than sitting in front of computer clicking on Open File and Convert buttons mindlessly :)

    • Can you claim your software is 100% faster than other similar software?

      Let's say your converter took 10 seconds. 100% of 10 seconds is 10 seconds. This software converts 10 seconds faster than your converter, i.e. it take no time to convert.

  • Gimp is a freeware cross platform image editor, and opens pdfs as an image. Multiple page pdfs can be opened as layers or pages.

    • Was going to say the same.

      Or if it's a vector image you can import it into Inkscape (http://www.inkscape.org) and then export as various vector formats (svg, pdf, ai, wmf, emf etc) or a png bitmap. Inkscape is available for Mac/Win/Linux, as is GIMP.
