  • Is anyone running dual monitors off this, and how do they find it?

    • I am running a 4 screens setup on a X13 with 4750 Pro with no problem.
      - FHD screen on the laptop
      - a 4K screen via HDMI on the laptop
      - a 4K screen via USB-C on the laptop
      - a FHD screen via HDMI connected to a dock

      • Side question:
May I know how to use multiple home pages on a single 32" screen if anyone have a good idea?
(I tried Dexpot, but it does not show all in one go)

    • The USB-IF need to get thier act together lol. If this supports dp alt mode, you could daisy chain two via MST. Could be a very tidy setup if you get the right monitors that can charge the laptop over USB c too!

  • +1

damn this looks like a mint setup.

  • +4

the Ryzen 6000 version of Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro with RDNA2 graphics will be awesome… but it will be a while before it's at this price.

  • Nice price, will have to check the edu portal to see if they can do it better

    • $1,547.10 on Edu portal

      • +3

        or $1,565.10 with these extras:
        AMD 5800HS
        NVIDIA® GeForce® MX450 2GB GDDR6

        • ships in 6 weeks though? What code did you put in for that price too?

          • @Shaunzki: Edu portal

Or if you happen to know someone working for Lenovo, they can get it down to $1,469.00 via the employee program.

PS We ordered one back in November, still waiting

        • How'd you manage to get that price? When I add those options it's looking more like $1880

          • +2

@ianjamo: Via Lenovo Education Portal. Unlike the general public website they have preconfigured models there. The last one comes with 5800HS and NVIDIA card, but AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS Creator Edition also available @ $300 extra

  • Much better than HN Asus deal for just $20 extra.

  • 95w for an ultrabook without a standalone graphics card?
    Good spec and price though!

    • +1

It's a high powered laptop in an ultrabook form factor, hence the H category APU rather than the U for ultrabooks.

      • Thanks for the clarification!
Haven’t been following the tech trends for ages, still used my i7-930 desktop pc ;)

  • Still holding my horses for Carbon Moon Light Edition.

    • +1

They look great, I've got the carbon in silver, and it's a great machine!

  • +1

You can stack this with Cashrewards to get an additional 6% cashback. Not as good as if you bought it 4-5 days ago where the cashback was 14%.

    • Apparently Shopback still has 14% off? Don't know how lenient they are with edustore like CR is .

      • so better off with 14% Shopback rather than $70 discount at edu store.

      • Go to shopback, click the link will take you to normal Lenovo website, at the bottom go to Edu store, select item and check out. It worked for me with CR at 14% when I bought Ideapad Slim 5 Pro.

        • Can I ask how you like that laptop? What kind of battery are you getting for normal web browsing?

          • @ChickenDinner123: Laptop is great apart from wifi card issue (not normal). Lenovo is replacing the machine. Other than that, it's amazing machine. Battery easy 7-10 hours depending on the usage for normal browsing. It's a great value for machine and solid body with amazing config.

  • I think this is a pretty good deal. I had an intel i5 11th gen variant I am very happy with it, super light weight and good for WFB (Work From Bed). Only downside I found was the fan could get noisy and the machine getting quite hot when underload.

Not sure about the Ryzen variant though.

  • +2

    Any good Lenovo 2in1 deals?

  • what Radeon graphics card does it have.

  • Z13 is just around the corner

    • or the new x13, but neither will be at this price

  • Got the i7 version of this laptop, been complete crap and trying to get it refunded. Used for 6 months and sent back to manufacturer once, still cant fix a few annoying issues

    • You have dead pixels ? I have like 8 always green /alive/zombie pixels on the shitty dim 2k screen

Nice powered laptop however got it for 800 from grays
16gb i7 slim7 carbon version. Worth noting this is a different machine to OP. And got at half the price. I’d love a glossy OLED display so much

      • +1

Not dead pixels but a few other issues with the screen (random pink lines just pop across)

  • +1

So tempting, but after having a laptop with a touchscreen I could never go back.

  • Is this any good for casual gaming?

    • Should be ok but see if you can get the education store deal mentioned above with the MX450

    • I would check out harvey normans gaming laptop deals. A few better options for much cheaper.

  • Anyone who the difference between 5800H vs 5800HS. Which one is better? The one with the MX450 has 5800HS. Thanks

    • 5800H is 45w TDP
      5800HS is 35w TDP

The HS in the creator edition is designed to provide similar or better performance to the H series but be more power efficient.

      • In other worlds - more battery life with same performance.

        • Thanks @shellshocked and @vovka.
From what i read the 5800H performs much better compared to 5800HS. that's why i am a bit puzzled.
          Am I right?

          • @scdd80: As the rest of their features are identical, performance would be proportional to base frequency:
            5800HS - 2.8 GHz
            5800H - 3.2 GHz
            Which is really negligible.

For a laptop I'd rather choose HS to get better battery life and less overheating issues. 1-10% better performance of 5800H in synthetic tests won't bother me.

  • with some laptops taking 6 weeks to deliver. what happens if i cancel after 3-4 weeks or before delivery. could i get a refund?

    • +1

they charge you once your laptop is shipped out. at least that what happened when we bought our laptops from them.

  • Code doesn't work - damn - I missed it

  • Ships within 4 weeks now
