Woolworths $5 Phones

Moved to Forum: Original Link

I stumbled across this news article and it’s legit. I set my Woolworths app to shop local then searched using the price low to high filter and found phones marked down as low as $5 at my local supermarket. It’s not a national promotion but seems a way to clear out stock. There are also other deals there as well. Great for a phone for kids on wifi or older relatives needing to be connected to the world.

Mod: Moved to the forum as there wasn't an identifiable deal (URL links to a news article) and clearance stock availability is generally sparse. Feel free to share your findings in the comments section, or alternatively, post them to the "Low Quantity Deals" forum

Change products to shop in store then select a store. It’s in the link.

There is nil stock.. $5 mobiles or $7.95 toasters
    It was old stock
Perhaps someone may have luck finding one, most stores its nil..
But, you can always call up or when in store ask, they can do a stock check on the computer

Drove to 3 Woolworths stores and no luck.

Here are the Article Numbers for the $5 models I tried to ask over customer service on the phone. I went in person to Craigieburn Highlands, Broadmeadows, Coburg Hills because I was told in-stock and I went there was no stock. Hence why I marked it Insufficient Quantity. Wasted fuel and time, definitely not a bargain for all. It’s rare, good luck to other people in getting at least one.

  • Has anyone managed to get one?

  • Got a Nokia 2.3 for $5 - fantastic - thank you for the deal.

  • Stock available at Lutwyche - picked up 1 this morning and they had 5 left

  • ps: helpful staff at Stafford tipped me off to stock levels in other stores, which is how i knew to try Lutwyche. Might be worth asking nicely at your local if they can check other stores YMMV

    • I'm having trouble selecting the Lutwyche store on the app, doesn't seen to exist for pickup
