It's not about exercising - I talk on the phone while commuting on my bike or when on a walk.
Airpods are useless for calls on a bike and when walking in wind. Alright for music, but siri never hears me so I can't change the volume.
On the bike? So you can talk to your Astana team car?
@guitarit: Nah, so I can eg. casually call my friends while riding peacefully. I'm not a pro cyclist smashing it on a roadbike, I can talk while riding.

what gen airpods are you using?
Airpods pro. I know that friends with non-pro Airpods (1st or 2nd gen, not sure about the newest) experience the same - pretty frustrating in windy conditions.
So it's only the microphone side the wind problem is?
@Lolitsjoel: Yes, I'm talking the microphones picking up all the wind and noise around. No matter if ANC is on or off. Like I said, I stopped using them for calls when I move faster or when walking in windy conditions.

Blows my mind when people drive with headphones too. Sometimes I wish I was a traffic cop as a side-gig so I could fine unsafe idiots when I come across them.
Yeah, not being able to control the volume on my Airpods Pro is my biggest annoyance. I know I can use the device itself or Siri, but it's not the same.

The first is often impractical as you need to have the device handy (and not eg. in your bag), the second is impractical because it takes too much effort.
Earpods have volume control, no wind problems, stay on the wire if fall out, have Siri on the button. Ofc you have to deal with the cable…

How is it that one Airpod cost more than the other when they are the same model?
If you're referring to the Airpods Pro, it's because they're 2 different SKU's (the cheaper one here is the Magsafe charging model released in 2021).
So what does the expensive model offer that differs in pricing?
Nothing, the cheaper one in this case is superior. The old SKU is most likely low on stock and still held on the website at RRP.

I 500% can recommend if anyone considering and in the apple ecosystem. I have deep regrets about holding off for so long and smashed my expectations 7 ways from Sunday.
Heard the 3rd generation is pretty good as well with spatial audio.
haha unfortunately 3rd gen was not around or even announced when i bought my pros. still no regrets as i find the tips offer a good secure fit and you also get active noise cancellation/ transparency mode over the 3rd gens.
I have tried 3rd gen. Pros are still better.

Upgraded from 1st gen to 3rd gen. Hate them. They just dont fit as well and always feel like they are sliding out.
Overall I’m grateful for the increase in sound quality, but one thing I definitely miss is the “tap” functionality. Squeeze only now

I just made price-beat at office works Minchinbury.
The lady at the counter is grabbing few for her family at that price. She was hesitant to match at the beginning because of the huge price diffenrence.

Spoke to OW. Won’t let me pay over the phone as a pricebeat and collect later. So you have to pricebeat and pay in person and hope MF doesn’t run out of stock and the offer is still valid.
I had the foresight to get at least JB HiFi to price match. Won't be getting extra 5% but at least I can use my JB gift cards from the past Telstra postpaid deals!
It wasn’t just the 5% that I wanted it from OW. It was the collection on the same day after work that I was too eager to get it from OW. Instant gratification strikes back.

Keep refreshing they are going in and out of stock. I was able to grab a pair of the pros just now. If you really want these I wouldn’t risk going office works.
I use wired headphones while running, cycling or when I know I'll have lots of calls outside. Airpods pick up all the wind and the other side can't hear me. Also I can control the volume with the wired Earpods.
I use Airpods when at home.
