V2.0 now with OTA updates so you'll always have the latest technology ;p

Need it for work purpose, can't hold my mug or water bottle all day!
Don't get me wrong, I was so careful and serious about the virus until our government abandoned us for economy.

    • +3

That's a massive oversimplification. The government has struck some balance of people health vs economic health. One side will say we're too soft and spreading the virus too much. One side will say we're too strict and distancing/isolation/lockdowns are bad. There is no right answer. You yourself wouldn't have a better solution, just a different one. They're striking some balance so just roll with it.

What is this a person with common sense? You deserve the highest of 5s! In a sea of whingers and complainers actually seeing someone with some objectivity is refreshing.

      • The balance isn't being driven by rational consideration. Rational consideration would provide a safe work environment. This is driven by ideology, attempting to increase protection by infection. Promising no lockdowns and removing the mask mandate was never going to work - hence the pseudo lockdowns. Imagine if as a nation we didn't have such mind uck about wearing masks - we could have had a decent Christmas. And we're about to get rammed by BA2, because you can catch both in short succession.

This is one of the dumbest products I have seen.

Placing a fan on the mask is little more than a novelty.

Trust Kogan to be flogging this landfill.

I mean… it actually works as its designed to. And it was designed for pollution, not covid.

      • +1

I guess you could call it forced induction - just like strapping a supercharger to your face.

I wonder if it gives you a few extra HP ;D

        • -1

It'll stop those karens who keep saying they cant breathe… or maybe itll supercharge the amount of shit that comes out of their mouths?

Given that it’s being used almost exclusively to comply with mask requirements while depriving people around the wearer of any benefit from mask requirements. Protecting themselves and their own comfort while they expose everyone around them to greater risk,

I also don’t like wearing a mask. I would much prefer a valved mask with positive air pressure given the option. But we’re coming right up on the anniversary of my mum’s death from COVID when a caterer at her aged care residence didn’t want to take a sick day. I find it very difficult to be generous in my interpretation of people who make choices about their own comfort no matter what it costs the people around them.

  • Careful with that - the masks with vents don't count as Covid masks in some jurisdictions, because they don't slow your breath on the way out.

They're a bit on the smaller side, but they have a N95 filter where the fan is. Comes with additional fan filters and another set of N95 replacement mask (the grey in the picture is just the outer covering). Fan on max setting works okay, with the fan direction blowing inwards.

    • Checked out some videos online, it does come with a fan filter….
The grey fabric is just a cover there is actually another n95 filter mask you put inside the fabric, so its actually pretty good

  • If you got a bigger face these masks won't work and won't seal proper.

  • Imagine the looks you'd get when wearing one of these in public. Even worse if the fan is audible.

Grace Tame is gonna side eye the f*** out of you

  • Does this make you sound like Darth Vader?

  • I get valve ones arent good, can anyone recommend like a good mask with good protection that is reusable though? i have seen some on ads on facebook but that's obviously a bit flakey. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for something that was reusable, washable but also had good protection.

    • Airinum lite are very good reusable. A bit pricey but very comfortable. Also good for kids.

Don't you all people triple vaccinated and therefore protected? Why do you need masks?

    • +2

Maybe you should do a math course so you can better understand what's going on in the world around you.

      • Are you trying to imply that vaccines do not work? Really? Are you one of those filthy antivaxxers?

        • +1

Vaccines work fine, but you'd know that if you had a better understanding of math.

          Don't you all people

Maybe an English class is also in order.

          • -3

@ihfree: How do they work fine if there's (checking math) 2.58M of infected vaccinated people?

Maybe someone needs Logic 101 class?

@[Deactivated]: Wish I had more negs. I'll be back for you tomorrow.

@Dimz: Thank you for letting me know, your opinion is extremely valuable to me.

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: Maybe so distracted checking your "math" you forgot to read and understand what's going on.

    • +1

To protect others maybe? Oh why would you want to do that, right?

      • This is what 3-4 decades of rampant, unabridged neoliberal individualism has brought us to: the utter inability to give even a modicum of care for our fellow human beings. SAD.

        • -4

I do care about you as much as you care about me. Yes, not at all.

      • It was a vaccine job to protect you, not mine. Are you trying to say vaccine does not do it?

    • Because you can be be vaccinated and still be a carrier. Or get infected.

The mask isn't to protect you. It's to protect others from you.

Vaccines lower your chances of ending up in hospital which is what everyone wants. So yes, if you're vaccinated, please wear a mask so that others don't get infected and start another wave. We don't want another wave.
