Team T-Create Expert 64GB (2x 32GB) DDR4 3600MHz CL18 RAM $349 + Shipping @ PC Case Gear

240

My work has me requiring 64gb+ on the daily so being able to go to 128gb for $700 is pretty good. I would hope anyone buying this kit would know this but please check your motherboard's compatibility with 32gb DIMMs (you can do that here)

I can vouch for Team Group RAM.
Might not be as well known as the Corsairs & Crucials of the world but they are very well priced and offer lifetime warranty in most products.

I have Team T-Force Delta RGB 32GB myself and have no issues, XMP works off the bat.
Might not have the best room for overclocking but I'm happy with it.

Random qusetion to OP - What kind of work/apps would need 128GB out of curiosity?
I've got 64GB and mainly just do gaming but haven't really felt the need for more RAM. I mainly just wanted to fill all my DIMM slots and have it look all RGB fancy lol

    • I'm curious too ahahaha, I run a triple monitor setup (7812x1440) and game on that res with 100+ tabs open at any given time on 64gb and have never gotten above 90% ram use

Great price tho! I'm tempted to upgrade just to say "I have 128gb of ram" 😂😁

        • then there'r always some smart guys correcting you "that's 128gb hard disk, not ram" LOL

      • Hot damn! That sounds like a beast setup. What GPU are you running?

I'm using a RTX 3090 on a 1440p monitor which feels like a waste but I can't find any decent 4K screens with high refresh rates yet and as much as I want OLED the burn in scares me as I work from home and can see it happening.

Yeah man, its a beefy screen setup, I'm running a EVGA 3080 FTW3 ULTRA (og non lhr, paid itself off in true Oz Bargain fashion 😉) I HIGHLY recommend getting an ultrawide monitor or triple monitor setup if you have the space, i cant play games on a 16:9 display anymore ahahahaha

        • I've run a C9 OLED for the past 18 months as a 3rd monitor for my PC setup. I make sure the start bar auto hides and the background cycles every 5 minutes. Along with not having any icons on the desktop I haven't had any issues apart from before I started autohiding the start bar (burn in was visible for about a week, but with normal use went away).

I honestly wouldn't worry about the OLED burn in unless you're in the same game/app for 8+ hours a day, 5 days a week. If thats your use case then probably avoid it, but if you're swapping applications regularly I dont think you'll run into many issues.

    • and offer lifetime warranty in most products

I think this is the case for most ram. I know gskill, geil and Corsair do, probably others. Apparently Kingston is 5 years.

      • Crucial also offer lifetime warranty 😃

TBH it's pretty rare and unlikely for RAM to fail so it's more of a marketing thing. LOL
Though I've known of an instance where a RAM module was faulty out of the box and the timings were below spec so it does happen.

@ZackyD: 100% agree with you, but deadset believe it or not, my sisters corsair ram sh*t the bin last week ahahahhahahhaha (2 YEARS OLD), ive never seen good ram die either, took it into Scorptec (Auburn NSW) and they tested it and saw it was dead and straight swapped, brand new sealed too!

            • @nft-yes: Geez how's that for luck.
Good to know Scorptec didn't kick up a stink and make you jump through hoops by contacting Corsair

      Matlab is my guess.
      I max out my 64gb frequently :-(

      • Struggling with 32gb atm,

Should I optimise my code or buy more $$$

I work with mining datasets and CAD. Most models can run under 64gb but multitasking can get shot.

      • Geez, Now i feel like my use case of gaming, multiple youtube & pwn tabs are overkill. Eeeekk!!!

      • Jesus, whats the rest of the specs? 6900xtxh/3090? threadripper? also do you just use one screen?

        • +1

          5900x, RTX 3090, 64GB 3600mhz RAM, 2TB Samsung 980 pro NVME and a 4TB Samsung 870 EVO
          Paired with a 32inch Samsung G7 monitor.

Wouldn't have dreamt of a spec sheet like this but as WFH managed to get 50% off total build cost subsidized by my work place :)
I was going to mine ETH but didn't want to risk killing my GPU

Funny thing is, My no.1 game at the moment (Starcraft Remastered) can run on a potato! Haha

    • RAM drive and virtual machine instances. I run a 30GB RAM drive as an intermediate drive for video files to avoid excessive wear on my SSDs. that leaves me only 34GB for the daily use of my PC. For my use case, 128GB is more suitable, but I wanted faster RAM anyway (4x16GB B-die) which is not achievable by 4x32GB sticks (Hynix dies).

    • I'm not like OP but I work as motion designer for an agency & constantly use After Effects + Blender.
My work PC currently have 64gb (2x32gb sticks installed) & that's the maximum the mobo could take.

Sometimes After Effects alone can chew up 56gb of RAM when playing a preview, depending on how complex the animation
Although the RAM allocation & limit can be setup from the Adobe software, in my use case scenario it's best to allocate as much as as possible for After Effects.

  • I have an NZXT H1 SFF case with a Z590I Aorus Ultra - according to pangoly these RAM sticks aren't compatible.

Would anyone happen to know of any T-Force RAM sets that are either 32GB or 64GB running minimum 3200mhZ - and are less than 45mm in height?

    Cheers in advance.

    • Dimensions 32(H) x 140(L) x 7(W)mm

Pangoly seems to miss compatibility stuff. Apparently this ram won't work on my motherboard even though it's rated for 128gb. Might be worth double checking because this rams only 32mm apparently.

      • Yeah fair enough. Just afraid to buy then it just won't work for compatibility reasons. The height clearance is fine - but there might be other compatibility issues that I definitely don't want to run into.

        • +2

Your board supports 32gb dimms according to gigabytes website so I'm not sure what compatability issues could exist if this information is true.
