    "$350 off"

    F*** off

    • +3

lol yeah some of the RRPs they are quoting are so stupid.

      • +3

True, all their RRP must be decided by Jack!

        • +14

          Jack the RRPer

  • +5

Its coming down, slowly but surely. would still HODL though

  • +14

Crazy right? The release price was under $500, 1 year later the on sale price is $800.

    • +8

this is good price compared to me paying $1500 at the height of gfx card crysis. (RTX 3060 12GB)
I've handed back my ozbargain license.

Let this be a warning to others.

      • Did a 3060 seriously get to $1500 0_0

      • That’s ridiculous, I got my 6800xt for $800 output

      • why purchase? how desperate can you be? 2nd hand anything until market improves, did you really have to spend a weeks wage on the card?

  • Good price

  • +9

    Hodor.

  • Is this the original release version, with the cracked anti-mining drivers?

    • No, it's a v2 so full lhr

Enter Into ozbargain Comments vs Google search….what are Pros and cons of 3060 12gb vs the 3060ti 8gb.

    • +10

      3060

      • cheaper

      • 4 extra gb of vram you will never ever ever ever use even if you are in one of those graphic intensive games that require high vram the 3060 wont be able to run it at a playable frammate anyways that you would always end up needing to use DLSS. just dont even think about the 12gb of vram since it literally does nothing. nada. no good whatsoever dont even think about it

      3060ti

      • cost more

      • but also a hell lot more peformance

      • 8gb is more than enough no its not a downside in anyway or form to the 3060's 12gb of vram

      • Thanks Brrrrt

      • I believe the 12gb is slower anyway, so the 8gb performs better anyway.

        • +3

Believe it or not, but the 3060 has a memory clock of 15 Gbps. The 3060 Ti, 14 Gbps. So each chip is faster on the 3060. The difference is though the memory bus width is larger on the 3060 Ti, so more memory bandwidth as a result.

          So 15000 * 192 bit / 8 bits = 360 GB/s of memory bandwidth for the 3060.

          14000 * 256 bit / 8 bits = 448 GB/s of memory bandwidth for the 3060 Ti.

      • you would always end up needing to use DLSS

… which makes it run much better while looking anything from not as good to better than native resolution rendering.

        • +1

I think you missed my point mate, which being, since one would need to turn DLSS on to play graphic intensive games with the 3060, they will make little use out of the 12gb vram. The extra 4gb is useless in any sort of scenario. Unlike higher end cards, where one would able to to run graphic intensive games without DLSS, which is where you would need the extra vram.

          • +1

@Brrrrt: I often run out of GPU memory on my 1060 3GB trying out AI demos for things like photo infilling and voice generation, so I think in that scenario more memory might be more valuable than speed.

            • +1

@CodeExplode: +1 for this, I upgraded from GTX1060 3 GB to RTX3060 12 GB, made it like day and night in ML/AI applications like Nvidia StyleGAN. VRAM is your friend in such applications, even better than 3070, 3080 etc.

      • +3

        …..the Same as Brrrrt

  • HODL!

Interested in the new AMD cards coming this year. I wonder how much will my 6600xt will be worth then so I can make the switch.

PC gaming is a wash for the next 2 years at the min.

Super good sign to see GPU prices keep dropping so frequent now, just across almost all different models. Hope to see 3060 down to $600 mark

  • Don't Pay $1,149 .

    • +2

      Don't buy it should say

  • Prices are dropping, HODL!!!

  • +6

Can BTC please crash to $50 so they stop using GPUs for mining and I can afford to upgrade my 1070?

    • +1

      It is happening. Ponzi scheme.

    • +1

If it does, I'll sell my two houses and leverage 100x on BTC Futures 🤞

  • +1

RTX3060 was $729 recently. This price isn't that great.

    • +1

      Which deal is that please?

    • I ordered one of these. Still waiting for shipment to arrive at Techfast so they send.

      • How long ago did you order?

        • Jan 13. Techfast said they are in the country sitting in a Warehouse undelivered to them due to supply chain issues atm.

  • -1

Still twice MSRP 😒 keep HODL

  • +2

half this price i may consider

  • Based on US RRP price and accounting for currency conversion and tax the 3060 should sell for a few dollars above $500 RRP.(just did another search and found official RRP is meant to be $529)

Once Intel release their discrete GPU cards it may force a price correction which I'm very much looking forward to - my 1060 is starting to show its age (it's still usable but some new games are certainly starting to push it)

  • Should I be buying this deal, or the 6600XT deal?

    • 6600 xt better value for your money
