    Their customer service isn’t great but they get back to customers.
    Secondly, $25 spend on Menulog via the app and using Virgin Debit card delivers 2000 points equivalent to $9 in cash.

    Really bad experience so far. Failed to verify my identity. Got locked out after. Going to take a pass on companies that couldnt even get the first step right

      Never had an issue, was approved almost immediately. AMP wanted me to visit AusPost for ID verification. Apparently diff banks have diff standards

    Don't be fooled into thinking this gives you 8 points per dollar spent like I was… it's only 8 points per transaction and will probably only be worth it for very small transactions eg <$1

      Those Monthly Criteria are only required to activate 8 points per purchase, direct debit and BPAY payment on your Virgin Money Go Account, plus bonus interest on your Virgin Money Boost Saver.

      They are not required to take advantage of this offer. You can hit and run the 20,000 bonus points without having to do the Monthly Criteria, then close the account.

    Guys….please read this before opening the account.

    I opened the account yesterday and provided the ID details as requested (License No/Passport No etc.). Account opened fine and was able to access the account straightaway. Transferred funds in to the account and transferred part of the funds outside as well.

    This morning, tried to login to the account but a message came up saying the account is locked. Called the CS and was told they need further verification documents to unlock the account. They need a copy of my Photo ID, photo of my face alongside the photo ID (a privacy concern) and a copy of another ID. The CS rep could not answer as to why this was communicated during the account opening process and as to why I was allowed to make transaction in the account if the verification process was not completed.

    I have checked the T&Cs and it only mentions that ‘You may be required to provide more information or go to an Australia Post Office to verify your identity. ‘. The T&Cs do not mention about locking the account and denying access to my funds.

    I am going to lodge a complaint with AFCA on Virgin Money re locking my account, denying access to my funds and not being transparent during the account opening process.

    but then got temporary access login sms and can login to the app, no account in there so went and setup one.
    looks ok didnt ask for ID again. it says card is on its way.

    So what's to stop you from bpaying funds to a $0 balance credit card, for example, making it now in positive credit and transferring it back to the Virgin account and repeating to harvest points?

      Similarly quick for me, though in hindsight I wish I hadn't used the points entirely on $90 cashback.

      Could have gotten a $100 gift voucher for under 18,000 points (e.g. Amazon, Big W, Coles, Woolworths) and then gotten $9 with the remaining points.

    Seems like there's no digital card with full details for online purchases, so went to Woolies to get a $100 Myer gift card instead as part of this deal.
