They can do some serious damage to your phone. Look it up, there are plenty of YouTube videos and articles about this issue.
The decision to buy it or not is ultimately up to each and individual’s finance and comfort.
In the early days of USB-C there were issues of cables not having a 56k ohm resistor. So you believe these cables lack the resistor too?
