GiveMe20Off

Hi everyone,

It's Peter from OECK here. We are running a special which gives customers a further 20% discount for our 12 month VPN plan. Coupon will work on both plan and prepaid. We offer a 30 day money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the service.

Oeck is a new type of VPN with industry-first features. We own all of our own hardware and do not use hard drives at all. Our VPN nodes are RAM only and we do not log user VPN traffic or activity. Our system is highly automated so that you don't need to go server surfing to find a server for channels such as Netflix, Hulu, etc. Simply connect to the VPN region closest to you and we take care of the rest. We have 30 Netflix regions available and many other streaming services which can be independently set.

Given that you can regularly get between 95-115% cashback with CR or SB with VPN providers, this isn't a good deal.

      Hi C0mbat,

Makes me wonder what the other VPN services are selling that you get back more money than you pay for plus you still get the service. They will be making money somewhere. Perhaps it is just them paying customers to get more brand awareness and there is nothing more to it. We however are set up differently to other VPN services.

Our VPN is privacy focused and we own all of our own stuff. We also have features no other VPN offers which requires a lot of resources dedicated to each customer.

We will not get in the game of paying people to use our service.

I'm sorry you didn't find our deal to be good.

      Regards,
      Peter @ OECK.

  • I currently have a subscription can you stack this on top of it?

      Hi soda-pop,

Thanks for being our customer! We hope you're enjoying the service.

If you open a support ticket, we will arrange to allow you to stack this on top of your sub.

      Regards,
      Peter @ OECK.

  • Does your vpn unblock Netflix in other regions?

And do you have an android tv app? Or can one be side loaded easily enough?

    • Hi jcarl,

We have 30 Netflix residential IP regions available. All you need to do is set the netflix region in your settings ( on the website ) and connect to the nearest VPN node.

You can side load our app easily enough. You are also free to use any OpenVPN client you wish :)

      Regards,
      Peter @ OECK.

      • Thanks. How long will you run this deal for? I want to try for a week before I subscribe annually.

          Hi jcarl,

This will be running for another 7 days. However, we do offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not happy with the service, just cancel within 30 days and we will refund 100% of your money.

          Regards,
          Peter @ Oeck.

  • Sorry bit of a very newbie question ,with using a VPN do I still have to pay for my aus Netflix monthly bill ,even tho I want to watch entirely say uk Netflix or American version which I here has alot more content?

    • Hi Francis82,

You will still need a subscription to Netflix in order to be able to access it. All the VPN's features will do is mask your location.

      Regards,
      Peter @ OECK.

      • Okay thanks

        • You're welcome :)

  • Hi there - I tried to install the Oeck VPN app on my Google TV, and it says it's not available on this device. How can I use it on my device?

    • Hi Cirrus123,

Sorry for the late reply. Please open a ticket. You may need to use the OpenVPN connect app.

      Regards,
      Peter @ OECK.

  • I subscribed, thank you for making a privacy-focused VPN and I am already enjoying Netflix US. I will always pay more to support online privacy.

I do have a question that I haven't been able to find an answer for in-terms of the Governments new Surveillance Law Identify and Disrupt

What stops the AFP targeting your Australian Servers, taking control of them, and enabling the logging of users considering this bill is exactly what it is designed to do, and if you, or any one of your staff interfere you'd face serious criminal litigation.

Where does that leave the average Australian that uses VPN services? Ultimately if your services are targeted and logs are enabled then the fundamental of VPN's and the privacy mechanism is destroyed in its entirety.

    • Hi sebrenae,

Thank you very much for supporting us! We hope you enjoy the service :)

The law is aimed at end-users. Though we could potentially fall under the 'Network Activity' section, it doesn't really matter.

Under the Act they are not allowed to do anything to weaken security ( AKA back-doors, etc ).

We are a Hong Kong company, so we will simply not update our Warrant Canary.

Our servers don't hold any data or traffic records of users. They don't even run on hard drives. If in the event our servers were to be seized, there would literally be nothing on them. We would then just replace the server.

At the end of the day, we can also close down parts of the network completely. If in some hypothetical our hands were tied, we would simply remove the Australian network. The rest of the VPN will also refuse to communicate with the entire Australian network until we deem it safe to do so.

      Regards,
      Peter @ OECK.

      • Love this reply, and excited to support you guys for many years to come. I genuinely think this would help users with your FAQ section too, it also gives you guys credibility, and helps re-assure any users considering the VPN that you are serious about privacy, and you back your product.

Finally someone who has some balls to fight for our privacy.

        • Hi sebrenae,

Thank you very much! We look forward to having you as our customer for years to come!

          Regards,
          Peter @ OECK.
