This product is a competitor to Sensibo but I believe it has more features including the ai comfort mode but it can’t be wall mounted.

No subscription required compared to the mini.

I bought one last month and received it today after initial worries. The store has their main page at https://www.lx2001.co.nz/.

  • What is this exactly? Do you just connect this to your AC to be able to use with your phone? Does it work with any model of AC or does it have to have a specific requirement?

    • My guess is that you train it to recognise your AC remote and its functions, and then it can control your AC via its app.

That's my guess as well but it's not very clear on the product page and on their own website what you can actually connect it to

  • I have this and Sensibo and Sensibo is far better.

      What makes it superior?

Well, it works. The AI (artificial intelligence) of the Ambiclimate is terrible. What both of them do is replace the remote control functions and also add smarts to room climate. So you can tell the AmbiClimate "I'm too hot" or "I'm too cold" or "that's just right" and it will maintain it, but it can't.

The theory sounds great, but the Sensibo is a bit simpler than the Ambiclimate and does what it claims. The Ambiclimate is all over the place, so even though it makes the decision itself, you constantly have to fiddle with the app to correct it. You can choose to drive it in a more 'dumb' mode though.

Both enable remote operation of the AC from anywhere in the world via internet (if you have home wifi). That can be handy to pre heat or cool the house or drive it for a visitor.

I also tried the much cheaper Broadlink one, but couldn't get it to work. The Sensibo is the one to get.

        • Thanks!

        • How many air condition units can this control? Only one to one?

Would love to have one where it controls all air conditioner under the same house.

  • Heck it's $416.16 On Amazons AU Site
