  • I almost bought this the other day. I had it confused with the 6500A Plus model. This one has no Duplex and no Wifi. However it has ethernet and fax.

  • +1

I thought I'd make a special mention of the inks. The estimated ink economy that HP publicize on the 920XL ink cartridges is: BLACK 1200 pages, COLOUR 800 pages. These results were obtained during test prints using documents covering 5% of the page (probably a very short email or memo).
Still, for that price, it earns a +1 from me.

  • I can't decide which one is better comparing to the one from DickSmith:

HP 6500A got a better scanner and print much faster, but Canon MX420 has WiFi.
Can anyone shed me some light on this?

  • thanks for the link.. just popped out to pick one up as we needed both a scanner (for documents) and a fax. will test it out and see how it is.

    • yep we're pretty happy with it. took a bit of mucking around with my router (T38) to get fax working over VoIP (not the multifunctions fault) but is a great little unit. well worth the $98!

oh.. and plugged it in via ethernet to my router, macos sees it and enables you to use the printer and scanner over the network without installing a scrap of HP software. this is a major positive in my book (although that's probably a mac thing)

  • Clearance due to the new model Officejet 6600 now being available.
