  • Does this do 24/7 recording?

    • Hi!

This camera does not support 24/7 recording, You could choose our Poe cameras though:)

  • "Sorry I don't have security footage because it was a cloudy day"

    Love that.

    • I've used this setup for a remote property for over a year. Aside from maybe one or two particularly bad weather days, it's worked flawlessly.

And even if you can't grab the footage that day, it's stored locally and can be pulled later

      • How is it stored locally if you can't grab it that day..? Does it still require a power source or ..? Are you saying the 3G/4G drops out on cloudy days???

I just don't get the advantage over a wired system - 4 camera is well under $150 with a HDD, what's the point of this?

        • You're comparing apples and oranges.

This camera isn't designed for traditional security or surveillance. It's meant for remote properties, storage sheds etc where a traditional setup isn't ideal and/or can't be internet connected.

It has on board battery which is kept topped up by the solar panel. You can also use cloud storage or install a micro SD and access the footage whenever you need to.

          • @shadowfax1007: I still don't see how this would win out over a $40 4G modem and $150 4 cabled camera setup

Are you implying a very specific off grid scenario somewhere that happens to still have 4G..?

            • @[Deactivated]: Compact, all in one, intergrated. Plug in and work. As Shadowfax1007 explained for a niche market.
Your version like get a kit car where you have to install the engine yourself to save money.

  • Installed one of these literally an hour ago. Very impressive, super easy setup, installation is easy. App is very decent.

Only thing I’d say is that you need to mount it somewhere very hard to reach, as the camera doesn’t lock in any way to the mounting bracket. You simply twist the body of the camera and it detaches from the mount.

Would be disappointing to put up a security camera only for the camera itself to be stolen.

  • Its a shame the deal is done, looking to pick one up to keep an eye on an upcoming house build!

    • Hey,

We have deals every week actually, stay tuned for more cameras:)
