  • Pretty ordinary reviews….

Must be awful if people take the time to review a hose…..

I have this hose. You have to 'prep' it first by filling it with water and letting it sit in the sun for like a day. I imagine those who complained about kinks didn't read the instructions.

      • +2

Oh wow. I never know hoses had instructions but thanks for this!

      • It's a fantastic hose
        I have the 30m

Beat way to store the hose is to keep it laid out in 5-10m snaked "S" shape.
If you don't want kinks, don't let it rotate. Looping hoses will spin the hose leading to kinks no matter what you do or use.

When it's ok the way, move it out of the way and temporarily store it in long 5m loops, never do tight loops. Ever.

  • excellent deal. thanks op got a few

Are you pimping a few hose?

  • Any suggestions on a hose reel to go with this? I have never bought a hose in my life 🙈😂

    • Don't use a hose reel. Waste of time and $

      • How do you store it then?

        • Lay it out in a figure 8 or S shape

I run mine out in the shape of my garden in 1 long run/curve

  • Ha. I was gonna ask the same question. I need a stand reel, not one of those wall mounted thingos. No idea what to buy or whats a good hose. 😵

  • Dont buy it has a kink resistency of 9 but just after a few months it started to kink so much that i had to return it back. Not worth the money thats why they have reduced it to half price.

    • Curious, did you ‘prep’ like mentioned above, by filling with water and sitting in sun for a day? If so I’ll avoid like you said

      • Kinks are caused by poor storing methods.

Nothing is link free if you keep looping inconsistently or use a hose reel.

This is a fantastic hose and will never link if it's only rarely rolled up. And when you roll it up, ensure the tap is left on and that they are long loops

    I don't hold a hose

    • Sure you don't, you just drink out of them with no hands

  • The website now shows this as normal price rather than a sale. Is this the new permanent price?

  • Standard price on Mitre10 site for this hose appears to be $34.65 - is the usual Bunnings RRP of $62.80 correct?

    https://www.mitre10.com.au/gardena-flex-hose-13mm-x-15m

    • yes, mitre10 price matching
or maybe the other way around

    • +2

Had another good at what’s happening here… so Mitre 10 is having some sort of a Gardena sale. The one they have on “sale” is the flex hose, with a RRP of $34.65 (so a saving of 65 cents). Bunnings, in their wisdom, probably attempted to price match, but they did it on the highflex version with a RRP of $60+. If you search on the Mitre 10 website, you can also find a highflex version selling for $60+. So this deal is indeed legit, and possibly falling under human error/price error.

      • Excellent pickup! I missed that completely.
