  • Is this kit good

  • +1

I bought the Anaconda deal for $249.

I’m not expecting that to be of great quality but $249!!!

Wonder how it compares to this?

Saw that in their email, some of the reviews weren't so good but recommended the Kings one, which is currently $188.10 (no pump) in-store.

Went to 4WD Supacentre to get one, no stock in WA but ordered for in-store pickup (about the same ETA for delivery and save the $20, may be in-store stock over east) so can't tell you what it's like yet but the demo model looked decent. Hard to say till it's on the water though I guess.

Anyone after 2, they have them on eBay with free delivery and $10 off with code or $18.81 for Plus members.

    • Totally Different Thing. Not in the same product level. This one is the same quality as the iRocker NAUTICAL Boards. Same Material similar design.
The difference would be the toy board only use for once a year or the board for the real explorers.

  • While there are a lot of choices for inflatable SUP, is there a reason why there isn't much options for inflatable surfboard?

    • +2

surfboard needs torsional strength, SUP doesn't

    • you can get them but they are not very good, you will struggle to surf one unless you know what your doing and in that case it wont be much fun for you. Cost wise you can get a soft top beginner surfboard 8-9ft around same price that will be much better as long as you can transport it

      • Storage and transportability are really the main concern (not so much cost).

I've seen couple (e.g. BodyGlove Inflatable surf board, or INFL8, where these are marketed as surfboard not a surfboard/SUP). There's a video review on the former that seems to be OK and the latter doesn't have any review.

For a beginner/learner (who've only taken a few classes so far but definitely interested in the sport), I'm wondering if these would be sufficient (and I've read comments that inflatable could even be easier for beginners given it's floatability nature).

        • You can use the inflatable sup board to surf as well. It is just much bigger and much easier.

          • @flynnchen: It will be too big for a 10 yr old in this case.

  • Hmm too many choices in this price range !

    • For sure you need to search for the comparison reviews to find out the difference.

  • When a product keeps getting posted for the same price every month it no longer appears to be a bargain.
