I cant figure out whether this is an alternative material straw or a straw filled with honey.

    • Hi ATangk,

It is a Straw filled with Honey :)

What are these? Straws made of honey, so we can eat the straws afterwards?

    • +5

What is this? A straw for ants?

      • Thank you for the laugh 😃

At first I thought these were like sipahh straws, but it looks like it's honey sachets (not straws).

    • That's what I was hoping too. I wouldn't mind trying something like a honeycomb straw.

  • +3

They appear to be little plastic pouches you rip the end off and there's honey inside.

      Well spotted, Columbo.

      • How do you know his name is Colombo? Oh my God! Are you psychic? If so what are the winning numbers for this week's lotto draw?

Pop a few easy to use honey straws in your lunch box

Three honey straws at 12g each is 36g of honey, 11% of your daily carb intake.

  • is it real honey?

  • What are they? Please tell me they aren’t plastic straws filled with honey.

    • +3

      Unfortunately they are.

Oh cool, the most un-environmentally friendly way to buy honey, tiny sachets of landfill and high delivery costs.

Do you sell clubs too? I think I saw a baby seal earlier that needs dealing with…

    • how do you think think they should package honey for one time use ?

packaged condiments for portability is a broader challenge than a just for honey …. ketchup, sweet n sour sauce at kfc and maccas and school tuck shops and lots more so instead of a straw which makes it easy to squeeze out the content they could sell honey in lots of other one time use plastic containers ….. honey is just one of many products sold in small one time use containers

i’d be more worried about one time use coffee cups impact on the environment … but people like to wait inline and get a coffee in a one time use cup, and if cafes didn’t supply the cups they would sell less coffee which would cost jobs …blah, blah …..

not sure cafes sell clubs either.

      • Some very fair points, well explained good sir.
I hate all these single use things and wish we had a better way.
I'm too much or a tightass to buy coffee at cafes when I can make something better at home for 1/10th of the cost, and it's usually better…

        • i don’t buy coffee at cafes either, cheaper at home, and i fill my keep cup and drink on the train ….. my pet hates are bottled water when you can fill your drink bottle from a tap, single use coffee cups …

shopping bags were an easy target, and has upport of supermarkets as now they sell more rubbish bags ….. then moving away from single use lost momentum as cafes and coffee cups and easy sales takes precedence over waste minimisation ….

We’ve bought these before. Good for diabetics (type 1) that need a quick/healthy sugar fix.
