    • It's silver not black for those who care. If it is the overseas model I'm not sure Samsung pay will work here.

      • My gear sport is the international model. Whilst it initially didn't support Samsung pay, something changed and which mean't I could set it up successfully about 6 months after purchase a while back.

        • That's good to know, I know you could reflash the firmware to do this but didn't mention it because a lot of people won't want to.
Did you get the blood pressure monitoring and ECG working too?

      • Catch one is also AU Stock… Mobileciti is an Australian Retailer based in Sydney, you'll also get a Tax Invoice from them.

    $388 at catch…

  • there must be a catch

The Galaxy Watch 4 44mm LTE retails at $550, with much better hardware.

I don't think the "Save $453" is very relevant.

Watch 3 is more in line with Watch 4 Classic, better built/material than Active 2/Watch 4. Some people still prefer the older Active 2/Watch 3 due to better battery life.

      • Ah, gotcha. 46mm LTE Watch 4 Classic is $650 at JB right now though. $350 seems ok in that case, but it was a really big leap in hardware this gen though.

        • How so?
Most reviews I've seen say it's incremental and if you have watch 3 the upgrade isn't worth it unless you want access to wear apps.

          46mm

Coming soon: Samsung redefines what the watch is with the 1337mm Samsung Galaxy Note Watch. They claim to have invented a new device category, the phatch.

People start off lampooning it and claiming it's ridiculous but then every smart watch gets that big or larger.

      • My Active 2 lasts me less than 12hrs standard usage. Mostly as step tracker and notifications. Wouldn't consider battery life to be good.

      • But it's tizen, not Google os

  • wawtch 3 is obsolete isnt it ?

    • Kind of, it's being supported with updates for the next year or 2 but Samsung have moved from Tizen to Tizen wear OS hybrid now.
I had a gear S2 for 4 years and although it stopped getting updates it still ran all available apps so obsolete in one sense but still fully functional just not with the latest blood pressure monitoring features etc.

  • It's too old and obsolete in many ways, with bad battery life. If you can stomach paying $200 per year for two years then throwing it away, grab it.

    • Why would you throw it away? It will still work and use the same apps.
It will be no different than today except it will not get firmware updates…..I know plenty of people with phones not getting updates anymore that haven't thrown them away.

Yup. My S3 Frontier still works a treat despite no OS updates for ages. Easy 2 days out of the battery also.

  • Does the Galaxy Watch work compatibly with a Google Pixel 4?
