Thank you, picked up up some Converse for my daughter to ruin

      • Did you mean 'run in'?

  • -3

nice designs, do they come in mens?

    • +17

      Not on the first date.

    • -8

I'm not a fan of this type of casual sexism - e.g. the inference that you're less 'of a man' by wearing these type of sneakers.

      • -5

Interesting opinion to take such a stance on, it's just a joke?

        • -2

Interesting that you think casual sexism is funny.

        • +9

Just because something is a joke doesn't mean it can't also be something else.

      • Who cares what you think? :)

        • I just like to call out shitty behaviour. No one has to care.

      • -1

hey sorry you feel that way, its just a little harmless fun :)

      • a wild whiteknight appears to tip his fedora & spill spaghetti

      • Can't lie, I thought the comment was funny, and I ordered a pair. I would be more concerned with a world that gets offended by every bloody thing!

  • Are any of these non-marking?

  • +1

Those chunky shoes…serves ankle weights purpose too .;-).

  • +1

18/20%(for Max) cashrewards cashback as well it appears?

    • Just confirming I now received CR confirmation emails for $3.63 on each pair (I have Max).

  • +4

Nice but my last orders got canceled. Even if it shows stock and available it doesn’t mean anything at Platypus!

  • Are the ITNO sneakers any good? Looks not bad, not sure about comfort

  • +2

Cheers OP, snagged some adidas for the wife, 18% cashback lovely jubbly

  • +1

Thanks, ordered a bunch of Vans for the wife and daughters.

  • Checkout is so slow !

  • cannot get checkout to complete…. keeps erroring out

    • Well the cart still doesnt seem to work but just got a paypal and a platypus email confirming the order?

  • +1

Website getting hammered, sizes disappearing in cart. Not worth the effort, IMO

  • The website is absolutely fried, each step to check out wont load to the next.

  • 'Something is wrong with your request' or with 'Wrong postcode/suburb' whatever I try.

    What a waste of time!

    • I was getting this, had to switch to a different device and re-pack my cart

  • And now I'm getting multiple order confirmation emails suddenly - great…

  • +3

    no wonder they are cheap

  • +4

The INTO Portland Sneaker seems to be a super normal white shoe - what's the catch? I bought one, anyway, but it's suspiciously normal looking compared to the rest of the shoes haha

    • +2

Hahahaha - You're such an OzBargainer - Asking all the questions AFTER buying it :p

      • +1

I've been meaning to replace my white shoes which have been worn out from music festivals, so at least I am buying something I'll be using :P
I've also missed out on heaps of super cheap deals because I spent too long asking questions haha so I didn't want to miss this! Never heard of the brand but the high RRP and normal appearance suckered me in…

        • +1

It's their private label - so they come out of a factory in Portugal and are exclusive to Platypus. My guess is that they have too many of them and that the other variations with a coloured heel are more popular. We're coming out of summer so they must be clearing stock.

    • +1

Holy moly you are right! I blindly bought it

  • Nice one OP, snagged some pink Cons and some pink Vans slip-ons for the kid she's gonna be stoked.

  • Not many good running shoes deals posted nowdays:(

I've had my eye on those giant, spiky, camo converse for so long but I hesitated.. it's probably for the best lol

    • +1

I think you would look great in them!

  • They're all showing $49.99 for me when you click on the product page…even though it's still $19.99 when you view on the sale page?

  • +1

Sale price just doubled when I went to check out. perhaps pricing error and they wont honour?

    • Yeah I got that too. Perhaps worth reaching out to support? It still shows $19.99 on some pages

    • +1

I ordered two pairs yesterday for click and collect and got ready for collection notices today.

  • Got my all white Portland sneakers today. US 13 Men. They look great. Really nice shoes. My foot is fairly wide but I thought I can maybe fit in them. NOT A CHANCE. I guess eBay/Facebook Market or..ahem here i come.

Why not take them back for a refund? https://www.platypusshoes.com.au/returns

      • Didn’t think of that. But I need to pay for return postage. Kind of makes it better to just try to get $4”50 bucks online. Covers my costs and ‘time’. But thanks. Didn’t cross my mind at all.

        • +1

          you can return in-store.

          • @tdw: Tempting.

        • +1

If you paid with PayPal, they'll refund your shipping costs. https://www.paypal.com/au/webapps/mpp/returns

          • @shiznit: Nice! I need to read more. I think this is the easiest route. Thank you.
