  • Does this have vibration alarm?

    • +22

It chimes every hour to remind you how long 10 years is and how ugly the watch is.

how come? it's a chick magnet

        • for chicks that can't tell the time from an analog display watch ?

        • Yep, for blind chicks

          • -4

@Trishool: making fun of chicks is not nice. From my perspective, they love to see my clock

they love to see my clock

              On the wrist?

                @cms1: sometimes

            • +1

@ntt: I heard it wears a bit small

            • @ntt: there are other things you can show them that if they put two hands and a face on could be a clock……

      Does this have vibration

Nice, i like how you think.
      Day time: watch
      Night time: kinky toy

What do you call a james bond film about a calculator?

    Casio royale

    • +5

Did you hear about the constipated accountant with no calculator?

He had to work it out with a pencil.

10 years of battery? Must be a hermes like quality button cell.

    • seems 2032 button cells are used, challenge would be getting fresh ones with a 10 year best by date …… jaycar, reject shop, SCA are ok for ones for scales and toys but definitely not fresh enough for 10 years ….. even now for other watch batteries like 920 etc need to search ebay for sellers with advertised best by dates ….

    • Casio have been getting 10yrs on batteries for about 20 years now, so… well proven…

  • +2

Awesome watch - it's one of my favorites. It is big though.

    • They say size doesnt matter

  • hmm grab this while waiting for a cheap duro with black face … sorry black dial, for some reason have taken an interest in casio watches again since getting the blue duro from the last deal om amazon.

the auto calendar , glass lens , and wr200 makes this an interesting watch …

bought it ……while i wait for killer deal on the black duro.

    • My oder was cancelled for that blue duro 😪

    • The blue Duro was such a delightful surprise! It looks great.

Nothing beats a DW casio .. prefer the DW290 but meh .. they're all great.

  • now to save up coins incase Seiko Prospex SSC741P …. save the ocean come up on special somewhere or the PADI version.

    • Prefer the Casio DW291

    U g l y you ain't got no alibi

    • Do you like smaller watches in general? What's so bad about this watch?
I feel it looks old school it's a similar shape to old shark watches. It's kind of cool in a nerdy way.

  • I wore one of these when I was 7-8 years old many moons ago. Also had one with a calculator… For the life of me I don't understand why anyone would want to wear it now. Must be purely to tell what time it is with 0 sense for caring what it looks like.

    • Same reason people wear remakes of old school shoes and clothes. Would you wear Reebok pumps? Air Jordans?

      • Fair enough, didn't think to compare it to old school shoes… Guess it comes down to taste. Although I'd rather wear old school Air Jordans than this watch. Maybe if they priced it at $500 I'd fall for it like the zombie consumer that I am.

        • +2

Although I'd rather wear old school Air Jordans than this watch.

          Why not wear both?

    • Or job reason, my job require me to check time and date a lot and make note of it. This job can easily damage your expensive watch too, so as long as i can see time and date, its good enough

    • i ordered one because it’s handy when i go camping or do work around the house or wrenching on my car and i can tell time without my glasses….still have my other watches for the office, going shopping , etc .
not sure of this watch has an illuminate button but if it has great for telling time at night vs lume on an allot watch …..

      • +1

I have had a 'Black Classic Digital F91W-1 Watch' (now $26.09) for many, many years - they just keep going. It is my cheap, work, knock-around and travel watch that fits my small wrist. It is great for travel as it has multiple alarms, great for breaks at work with a countdown timer (and alarm if you fall asleep in your break), can be scratched or knocked around without any heartache, not a great financial loss if I lose it and NOBODY would ever want to steal it from you.

  • +2

There are a few other cheap one, would be keen to have your inputs on them

    • +1

You should always buy what you like as you're the one that's going to be wearing it. However those all have resin lens & lower WR rating. Never trust Amazon specs.

      • Cheers. Don't really need another quartz. Would only buy if outstanding.
Not only amazon specs are unreliable, but maybe pictures too. That Forester listing looks dodgy. Although would be my pick.

  • 1500wh-8BVCF looks nice

  • i think the wr200 , 10 year battery , and glass lens iand auto calendar are a nice combination though some of the other casios seem nicer esthetically , maybe because i prefer round watches …. pity the ae1000 orange band one out of stock.

  • This is a good niche for Casio. Not so GShock, not so flimsy, great buttons.

Still, could be a monster on some wrists tho… look out!
