eBay Giftcard Payment Issue

Hi,

just want to know if anyone's having the same issue using an ebay giftcard to pay for the order? I've tried on my 2 different account and got the same error "Please check your payment details or use a different payment option.".

Giftcard applied with no problem until I clicked on Confirm and pay.

The order is less than $100.

Talk to payment support, was able to pay using giftcard but pay only one seller at a time. And might need to call them evrytime I want to use giftcard. Bullsh$t!!

      they said they cannot find anything wrong with it, they need to check with their technical team. :-(

    Use Pin, not card number?

    Has the GC ever been used in another transaction? If so, the remaining credit is stuck with the account that your GC was redeemed on the first transaction. Are you using 1 GC for this purchase?

    There have been numerous issues with eBay GCs since they introduced their new payment system a couple or so years back. Repeat error messages especially when it comes to purchasing from international sellers, error messages when using multiple GCs and even sometimes the GC funds get deducted without the transaction going through (good luck chasing that up for months with the clueless online customer service reps). So don't really purchase eBay GCs any longer not worth the hassle for mine.

      I buy from aussie sellers. It worked a few months back. They did not deducted any funds yet. Full amount still available.

        Just be careful if using GCs gives an error message don't try to attempt payment with GCs again. You could then end up with GC funds being deducted but the transaction failing. Happened to me twice with $200+ purchases and it was a nightmare chasing them up with pretty much non-existent customer service. Took a couple of months and getting Fair Trading involved to finally get the funds back.

          Hi, sorry to disturb! I have similar issue on ebay GC. May I know how your FairTrading representative contacted ebay? I had Fair Trading involved but the lady said she was not able to reach ebay at all. Appreciate!

    I got the same error. Clearing browser cache and using a different IP (mobile data) worked.
